Good value for the $$$
Pros: For my first DIY build. Wanted something budget with good expandability and USB 3.0, so this fit the bill nicely. Will be used to pump movies to a flat screen, run Autocad LT, and occasional gaming. I don't multitask so I figured the i3-2100 would be more than adequate for my needs. Build is: Rosewill case w/500w PSU Gigibyte B75M Intel i3-2100 chipset Gskill ripsaw 2x4gb memory Seagate 1TB mech HD Samsung DVD-R Several green glowing fans:) Was plug and play with successful startup, everything worked. Should be an awesome computer for a touch over $400. Quick shipping and everything got here undamaged. Board is flimsy so use care when installing components. I sat the board on top of the box per the newegg video and had my brother hold it while I installed the chipset and memory. Startup and shutdown is super fast, not a hit power and go get coffee event like my dying laptop. Cheapest 4 slot board available with USB 3.0, I give 5 eggs for the "bang for your buck".
Cons: Loaded Vista very quickly, but included mobo drivers are only for Windows 7. Found drivers online for Vista but could not connect to internet without them loaded, so saved to a USB drive from another computer and downloaded but still won't connect. Going to have to blow my video card money on Windows-7 upgrade and live with the basic video for another month. I'm a software dummy so no eggs deducted here.
Great value
Pros: Sound great, excellent value and a little extra bass for the same money as a basic set of speakers at the store. Volume control "remote" is nice when the speakers are out of reach. Picking up another set for my computer because my wife stole these for hers:)
Cons: None yet.
Works
Pros: Cheap and works. Read my driver CD's and burns/plays music. All I need it for.
Cons: None yet.
cheap and works
Pros: Basic, cheap, and it works. My fingers don't care for the low profile keys so that was something I didn't want and this keyboard has nice tall keys. Works fine, plugs into the computer no need to feed it batteries.
Cons: None yet.
no problems
Pros: Plugs right in, plenty of memory for the money.
Cons: None
cheap, quiet, cool looking
Pros: Very quiet for the CFM, low cost, look cool. We replaced the oem fan with one of these and two 80mm fans of the same make and its still quieter.
Cons: Pins are loose side to side in the plugs, don't line up that well and can back out of the plug when you plug them in. Have to fiddle with them a bit, use small pliers to align and push the pin home. Not a deal breaker for the money just an FYI.
