Great 4k monitor for bang for the buck
Pros: Excellent value for money for a 4K free sync enabled monitor. Acceptable colour accuracy out of the box, contrary to some negative reviews. If you are picky you can always download colour calibration files from rtings. Relatively compact and solidly built. Come with display port cable and HDMI cable. It's a huge step up from a 24" FHD 60Hz LG monitor that I had, and you will never be able to look back and compromise with something lesser. (A con?)
Cons: Know what you buy: Limited ergonomic options The free sync range is limited even with the extended mode Only acceptable speakers (but you shouldn't expect built-in speakers to have great sound quality, to begin with) Not HDR ready Necessitates a high-end display card to pump out sufficient frames (my ageing RX480 struggles to output playable frames at 2k resolution at medium settings)
Overall Review: Took a leap of faith with LG as I had LG D802, LG V10, a LG 40" 4k smart TV, a LG 24" FHD regular monitor and a humidifier. This monitor shipping from 7000 miles to where I lived, has turned on without issue, and have no dead spots. The shipping together with the discounted price is still 50% cheaper than I buy locally so shame on the distributors. Now I am just hoping that this monitor would not malfunction in any near future. Also, a 32" 4k monitor would have a minimum recommended distance to be kept away from for the normal FOV of human, but due to limitations of my room I have to stay closer than I would prefer. Works fine after overclocking my eyes. YMMV.
Excellent fans from Corsair - especially if on sale
Pros: Good build quality - feels solid in my hand Quiet - can't even hear a thing under normal circumstances Comes with a 5-year warranty - which I believed they may just run forever No RGB (for me)
Cons: Not really a big con but you would have to "pre-screw" before actual installation as the screw holes are very tight. Without doing so it would be frustrating to install in a confined case. Two zip ties coming with each of the fan and out of 4 fans I ordered 2 zip ties are already half-broken. No RGB (for some people)
Overall Review: Was so impressed that I have to buy again another 2 pack lest these lovely fans run out of stock.
Good performance and excellent value for money
Pros: The installation on LGX115x couldn't be easier - in fact, I 've got it installed within 3 minutes and spent 5-minutes double checking if it is really that effortless. Relatively light for a tower air cooler and comes with two brackets. Cooling performance is excellent for my aging Xeon E3-1230 (I did use one more Corsair ML fans for pulling air though), idle temp is ~10 degrees lower compared to a factory style no frills aftermarket cooler I bought for 10 bucks.
Cons: The heat paste is a hit or miss. I messed up and wasted around 30% of paste but luckily the portion given is sufficient. However, a syringe style heat paste injection would be much more convenient and spreading it across the heatsink evenly wouldn't be a hassle. But given the affordability, this is within expectation and doesn't deserve to have an egg substracted imo. Update: Flimsy plastic clips result in risky remounting. Best to install once and leave it there forever I suppose...
Overall Review: If you just want an air cooler with good value for money and dead-easy installation, you can't go wrong with this. Add one more fan for pulling and you are looking at top of the range cooling performance that rivals the top dogs. Update: Minus 1 egg, as the plastic clips are too fragile and are almost broken after remounting in an attempt to reapply higher quality thermal paste. It was near perfect for the first mount but now the I am under the impression that the mounting pressure is not sufficient and even...
Great product but a few catches
Pros: Good tactile feedback Dual connectivity is a surprisingly convenient feature Insane battery life (advertised) Good build quality
Cons: The text on keycaps are printed stickers, which is not quite acceptable at this price point Heavy and bulky which is unnecessary IMHO Non-removable armrest No dedicated num lock indicator Lacks function key shortcuts similar to non-G Logitech multimedia keyboards Media keys are out-of-sync with the overall aesthetics and look cheap No backlighting (understandably would diminish battery life, but I am not looking for fancy RGBs, plain white backlighting would have been perfect and >3 months battery would be sufficient anyway) Boring colour scheme (could be pros for some)
Overall Review: If you are looking for a practical mechanical keyboard which happens to be wireless and doesn't mind the lack of backlighting, G613 is your (potentially the one and only) choice. The pros outweigh the cons and it's a good pick especially when it is on sale.
