Best bang for the buck
Pros: -Best price to performance ratio you can find -Good video card -Full keyboard + Num pad -Sleek design. I was much more impressed than the pictures show -The sound is AMAZING!!! (for a laptop) Excellent bass -Long charger cable -Many inputs/outputs -Well built
Cons: -Somewhat heavy and thick -Battery life isn't the greatest (but not bad) -Screen doesn't go much further than 100-110 degrees, but this isn't a huge con
Overall Review: I am very impressed with this laptop for the price. I wanted something for school that could also game a little bit, and I got everything I wanted and more. The cons are few and definitely shouldn't deter you from buying this notebook. This is an excellent well-rounded, middle class unit that can be used for just about anything. I would recommend it to anyone.
Comments: I can't get them to run 2-3-3-6. Can't even get them to run 2.5-3-3-8. Kind of upset considering that's the only reason I paid the extra money for these. Oh well, still decent ram.
In Win 904.PLUS Owners Beware
Pros: Good price to performance ratio. Looks nice. Relatively quiet. Allowed me to max all my games on high. Even just on the desktop I noticed an overall more smooth experience. Scrolling through large websites is like drinking butter. Or something.
Cons: Not the smallest card.
Overall Review: Would not fit in my In Win 904.PLUS case. The card width is fine, but the two power plugs being on the side of the card doesn't allow me to close my case all the way. I'm going to have to get some right-angle PCI Express power adapters and see if it fits then. It's going to be really close. I should have looked at measurements before purchasing, so it's my fault. I just didn't expect the card to be as big as it was! Can't knock an egg off for that. Long live AMD!
Pros: All that you would expect from an SSD - quiet, fast, no heat.
Cons: Not the drives fault, but took 10 days to get here (California to Washington?). DHL sucks!! I miss the days of Newegg and free Fedex shipping.
Overall Review: Great upgrade for a laptop. Greatly reduces noise, lowers heat, increases snappiness. Awesome.
Great for mounting surround speakers!
Pros: Level built in, simple to mount and unmount monitor/tv/speaker/whatever. High quality for a low price
Cons: None I can think of
Overall Review: Used these to mount Polk Audio Monitor 30s for surround sound. Removed the stock mounting bracket and was able to fit two of the holes on these mounts without having to drill any more holes. Worked great, bought these on sale so got a great deal. In the future I may switch them and use them for monitors/TV/whatever, so the versatility is nice.
Fast fast fast!
Pros: -FAST! -Silent. -Cool (as in temperature). -Small. Installed Windows 7 x64 in 14 minutes (this including missing to hit the delete button at bios and switch my boot back to the OCZ drive). Boot up time is only a few seconds, shut down is about 2 seconds. Amazingly fast!! Installed Starcraft 2 in under 1 minute. Everything loads instantly now. I love it. RAM might not be the easiest, most effective upgrade any more! Also, for the other reviews complaining about space and how much the OS takes - I have 42.4 GB left after installing Windows 7 x64, Starcraft 2 beta, and my other daily programs (Mozilla Firefox, Skype, etc.). 60 GB is plenty - you just have to watch what you feed the little guy. It's kinda fun actually.
Cons: There is absolutely no down side to this drive other than the high price tag. However, if you are quick on the computer, this is definitely worth the money.
Overall Review: Initially had problems trying to figure out what firmware I had - spent almost an hour and was getting frustrated. When you get the drive make sure you download the firmware files - even if you have the latest (1.5), when you first launch the flash program it will tell you what firmware you have. I finally found out mine was already at 1.5 and I felt stupid for wasting almost an hour. Packaging is minimal and design is minimal - I like it though. Doesn't come with a SATA cable or an adapter to fit in the normal 3.5" slot, but who cares? This thing is amazing and OCZ support is even better!!!! They really know how to take care of their customers. OCZ definitely gained major points with me after this purchase.
