fast fast fast, really? yeah

Pros: very fast in theory, decently quicker in practice. improved the overall speediness of my system. wd scorpio black 320gb measured 70MB/s sequential read this drive measured 150MB/s, so in theory it should be twice as fast but it is not, difference is noticeable but I don't know yet if it's worth the high premium right now.
Cons: not as fast as claimed by manufacturer. specs are deceiving manufacturer advertises 64mb cache in the box and everywhere else but in reality it only has 32mb cache.

small, solid

Pros: -small footprint -average design (pros? at least its not awkwardly designed) -inexpensive -customizable (see other thoughts) -front e-sata
Cons: -measurements given are without the bezel, actual depth with bezel is 15 1/2", this was critical in my application. -very basic case -no thumb screws -some sharp edges
Overall Review: I purchased this case because the manufacturer claims the depth to be 13.8", unfortunately the bezel is not included in those measurements and brings the real depth to about 15 1/2", fortunately the simplicity of the design allowed me to take off the bezel, rearrange the LEDs, power button, e-sata and usb ports, and add a 120mm intake fan. I painted the naked front piano black and now it even looks better than with the bezel and has better ventilation.
click click click click click click

Pros: none, any advantages of having a 7200rpm drive is canceled by the stuttering and clicking even in the middle of a file transfer...
Cons: drive freezes ans stops working from every couple of seconds to minutes totally unpredictable click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click
Overall Review: seagate keeps dropping the ball, i also made the mistake of getting their infamous 1.5tb thinking the firmware issues had been fixed and the drive started dying less than a month after... I WILL CONSIDER OTHER BRANDS FIRST LIKE WD TOSHIBA ETC SEAGATE WILL BE MY LAST CHOICE FROM NOW ON...
horrible position of pci-e 1x

Pros: not DOA.
Cons: the positioning of the pci-e 1x plug makes BOTH of the tv tuners I have available to me to be in the way of the ram slots, in other words both tv tuners (ati 650 and hvr-2250) block the ram slots. How did this escape their designers? they only had to position the ram slots a couple of mm higher and all would be good. I guess that's what happens when manufacturers are just churning out a new motherboard everyday and with no regard in bettering their brand.
after some struggling it finally works with vista

Pros: inexpensive, small, solid.
Cons: Too solid, not enough cushion to protect hard drives, only 250gb, no power saving, NOISY! not compatible with Vista OTB.
Overall Review: to map this drive in vista first you have to follow the instructions provided here by another reviewer (secpol.msc, etc.) If you are not able to just click click to set it up because it shows the RPC error then you have to type in the drive manually as so: \\I-drive\share and voila! it works.
depth?

Pros: this is not a review but rather a question to other buyers, can anyone confirm the depth of this case to be 24"? that is huge and I just wanted to make that the description was accurate, thanks.
Cons: none
