Great PoE Switch

Pros: Extremely Affordable 8 PoE ports not 4 like the others Gigabit Includes Rackmount Ears
Cons: Haven't found any
Overall Review: Fantastic Value, I use it to power 8 ACTi 5MP IP Cameras and it works great! Includes rackmount ears if you need them which the Zyxel 8 port doesn't!
Doesn't support >147GB file size

Pros: Cheap Supports 3/4TB drives
Cons: Doesn't Support >147GB file size
Overall Review: I've been using NAS systems from every manufacturer ever since I can remember, from the older LACIE GIGABIT units to the latest Synology/QNap systems. I thought I would give these inexpensive 2 drive units a try to replace some older Netgear 4 drive systems. Installed 3TB NAS drives for RAID 1 protection but quickly found that it wouldn't accept any file over 147GB in size! I emailed Tech Support. 2 Weeks later they tell me its a limitation of SMB which I promptly told them that is not correct there is no limit for Linux Samba SMB for file size and their EXT4 or XFS file system they are using on the NAS doesn't have a size limit either. Netgear, Synology, QNAP, Buffalo, Lacie all can support >147GB, but StarTech at this time CANNOT! This is a major problem for larger backup files and for storing VHD files which cannot be split.
Not good for mining rig

Pros: Looks good, comes in a nice box
Cons: Doesn't handle 815W load continuously, need to adjust down to 775W to prevent power supply from restarting.
Overall Review: Doesn't handle >800w continuously! Tried to use this for 4 card mining rigs. Set power limit on video cards to 90%, Kill-A-Watt showed system at 815W and with 5-10 minutes the powersupply reboots. Had to lower down to 85% power limit (4 cards not 5 or 6!) to get Kill-A-Watt to 775W before system would stay running during hashing. Had this problem with 14 systems, ordered from 4 sources so it wasn't a bad batch. All 14 power supplies had this issue so I had to return them all. I think these 1000W power supplies are really 800W!
Unstable! Errors from PCIe in System Log

Pros: multiple power connection options
Cons: UNSTABLE!!! These will produce errors in Event Viewer / System Log! Thousands of errors constantly while running cards using these risers. On 6 rig setups it doesn't show up as bad but once you start running 10+ gpus the cpu is overloaded by 'system interrupt' and 'diagnostic policy' high cpu usage under task manager. Replaced these risers with a different brand and problem disappeared immediately.
Good camera for the money

Pros: Picture Quality is pretty decent. We use 30fps 1920x1080 HD mode instead of the 3MP 15fps mode because we are capturing cars driving past and find higher frame rate is preferred for our application. The size of these cameras is very good compared to our larger ACTi dome cameras. They seal very well and haven't had issues outside in winter/rainy weather. We use ACTi NVR Standard with Device Pack Licenses to record video from these cameras
Cons: Picture quality isn't amazing. Its good, just not amazing.
Overall Review: Great budget 3MP IP POE Cameras. Combined with ACTI NVR3 Standard + Device Pack licenses you can build a nice IP Camera setup
Amazing router

Pros: Excellent Performance for to up 100mbps service Gigabit Ethernet Ports WiFi 802.11N built in Every feature you could ever imagine including BGP, NAT, Firewall, Access Lists, VPN, etc
Cons: VPN performance only good for about 15mbps, look at CCR1009 for additional VPN encrypted performance
