Pros: - Decent drive - 'kit' nearly same price as bare drive - Installation software may be useful to some. - reasonably quiet - not too hot

Cons: Two minor issues (not enough to loose more than half an egg on the rating): - Specification should have indicated that it may fail to autonegotiate transfer speed to/below 2MB/s on older motherboards. This issue was described in the documentation that came with the 'kit' - Software has some shortcomings (but it was free!)

Overall Review: A number of others have indicated that the drive was DOA and Seagate has responded that the drives test good when returned. This could be due to the autonegotiate issue they describe with older motherboards. There is a solution allowing a fixed (slower) transfer rate by setting jumpers (NOT PROVIDED!?!) on the drive. The software included in the kit includes a few test routines to check out the drive. This could be used to 'prove' the drive is bad in your system (although how you would get it to work if the drive appears DOA is beyond my tech level). A couple of drawbacks in the software is that it can't be used unless there is Seagate drive installed in the system. So you can't use the back up features to back your data on the drive you intend to replace with the Seagate drive, unless you've already installed the Seagate drive. I wanted to back up the recovery partition of my system and do a complete restore with the new drive. The provided software wouldn't let me control the size of partitions. So a couple of gripes and grumbles for the software and documentation, but really the drive has been working well without any problems. I would recommend this drive!

Overall Review: The first unit arrived and I was able to test it immediately. While the camera worked well, and the monitor clip and weight was much better than the similarly priced Logitech unit I bought my son, the audio was unusable. It was too quiet, and broken and garbled when you amplified it up to an adequate level. The return process was quick. They actually offered a 40% refund to keep the unit. I suppose I should have given this two stars because of the fast return and refund offer. Unfortunately, I needed a web cam I could use while my son used his. The replacement arrived and appeared to have similar problems. But I wasn't able to test it under controlled conditions until yesterday. The replacement unit also just as broken as the first unit. Unfortunately, I was not watching the calendar and I am now past the return period. I had hoped that the first unit was a one-off bad unit. I should have been suspicious with the refund offer. The video is usable, but if you need a fully functional web cam avoid this unit.

Pros: - Sturdy - with caveats - Shows off the innards nicely - Filters! - Lots of places for 2 & 3 1/2" drives (at least four, and maybe more) - Accessible 5 1/4 bays! Two! - (That can be hidden with an easy to remove and replace cover plate.) - Lots of tie-off points for out of sight cable management - Cute storage drawer (if you don't use both 5 1/4" bays)

Cons: - Most every thing is sturdy except those pesky slot covers in the back - Could have a little better front (top) panel IO connectors (like drive activity indicator) - Top/front USB C connector sold separately. - It's not pink - Why do the power supply cables have to go to the side? ('Cause the motherboard will cover them up.)

Overall Review: This is a well designed case. I have had great luck with this company before and this product is no exception. Sturdy. Good looking. Easy to open up. Easy to install the motherboard with lots of room for an oversized video card. Lots of places for 3 12 and 2" drives. Even room for two 5 1/4" in a well-hidden compartment at the bottom. If you leave one bay open, there is room to a small tray or basket - great for keeping spare parts. And there is a nice cover plate to hid those ugly retro artifacts.

Pros: - Quiet - Doesn't interfere with the memory - RGB setup was pretty normal - Temperatures seem decent

Cons: - Always the awkward which way does the airflow really go - fortunately I got it right on the first try, but it's not too hard to adjust.

Overall Review: Built my oldest daughter a computer to use for her 3D animation projects as she builds up resume' material after graduating. This was a critical component that seems to work well and is aesthetically pleasing. I would recommend this product.
