Pros: works with Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L, low price, no errors so far. I like the manufacturers ability/willingness to respond to reviews
Cons: I had to learn about memory timings and voltage... not really a con but I have to whine once a year. If the old folks figure the price-per-megabyte and compare it to 1991's price for RAM it gives you a guilty feeling kinda like getting away with something.
Overall Review: I am running an e6750 at 3.4Ghz with this ram on a gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L mobo with 5-5-5-15 timings +.2Volts and arctic cooling freezer 7 pro cpuz validated at 3408.31MHz. newegg reviews are a priceless tool when it comes to spending money I earned
Pros: 3tb of space and yes it is a ST33000651AS much faster as an internal drive.
Cons: This drive gets HOT! smart data said the temp reached 65C, get a laptop cooler to set it on or be brave and crack the case and put it in front of a fan in your PC! the drive would have cooked itself if I hadn't been monitoring SMART data. the external case is a poor design and keeps the heat in.
Overall Review: I used the Ubuntu disk utility after I removed it from the case, the 3tb partition is managed by the USB so copy what you want to keep off the drive before popping the case open as the partition is unreadable as an internal drive until it is formatted, I deleted the hpfs/ntfs partition then split the free space in half, ntfs first partition, ext4 second. Then I reinstalled windows and made the second partition my /home directory. oh yea! my warranty is voided well worth the 180MBs transfer speeds I am getting.
best 560Ti out there
Pros: I replaced my obsolete 8800gts (512Mb) with this card...now I am the bottleneck when it comes to playing games :) EVGA has awesome quality control and back their product. Customer service is the key to success NEWEGG needs a manufacturers response search feature when I get a defective product I want to know that the manufacturer is gonna stand behind it I learned the hard way with xfx and gigabyte
Cons: I bought mine from big brother w mart
Overall Review: EVGA makes good on their quality promise I just wish I had the money to sli :(
perfect for i5 2500k
Pros: It has USB 3.0 on board power and reset buttons that came in handy during the install. The skull lights up and the bios has an option to use the eyes as your hdd activity light. It is sli and crossfire capable I confirmed the unadvertised crossfire with Intel on chat (thank you Paul). Also unadvertised was a bluetooth/wireless N adapter that plugs into a usb header that you can stick on the back of a 3.5" drive bay cover but the drivers are not on the dvd. The sata cables apear to be high quality. This board was made for SSD's so once I purchase one I should see a huge increase in performance.
Cons: It wasn't delivered by a cute ups girl ;)
Overall Review: Install the cpu before you put this in your case! the pressure you have to put on the lever to secure the cpu is disturbing, so support the backside with your hand while securing the lever. have more than one brand of memory on hand when you put this together and while you are waiting for it to be delivered get the latest bios from Intel. boot with one stick update bios with the F7 option I had to boot with one 4gig stick of g'skill ripjaws ddr3 1333 then replaced with 2 4 gig sticks of mushkin blackline ddr3 1600 the bios update fixes memory issues. I am still stunned by the jaw dropping speed of the 2500k you could call it a "case" of whoopa*s! do your research and spend wisely! peace my friends :)
