Pros: 1TB of storage and 32mb cache is great. Replaced 2x320gb seagate raid 0. This drive seems to transfer just as fast if not faster than the raid that I had before. Saves me a lot of space and one less drive producing heat. Doesnt seem to be running hot at all.
Cons: Price could definetly come down.
Overall Review: So far no problems almost a month old now. I'm ready for bigger drives than 1TB already but it will hold me off for awhile now.
Gets the job done.
Pros: Does what it's suppose to do. The power supply is significantly smaller than the previous models.
Overall Review: The other models seem to be really sensitive to electric surges and burned up quick. This is the fourth motorola I have gone through but maybe this one will hold up better. The previous model older but a surfboard was on a UPS and still burned up throught the cable line when lightning struck so make sure you put both power and cable lin into a UPS or surge protector.
Pros: No ghosting with the 5ms at all. The picture is super clear especially if you make sure you turn up resolution of everything up to 1920x1200. I've played games and they are super clear and crisp. There is a light that indicates when the monitor is on in the lower right hand corner but it can be dimmed, brightened, or turned off in the settings. You can even change the aspect ration to 4:3 in the settings but it will not take up the whole monitor. There is also a sound played when the monitor is turned off and on and this too can be turned off through the settings built into the monitor. Many connections and built in tv tuner are a big plus. The size is just right, any bigger and it may catch yourself actually having to look around for things on the desktop. Currently using DVI to computer and looks great. Samsung did a great job on these new series of monitors and tvs. Would recommend to others.
Cons: Whenever the monitor goes into standby it sometimes takes awhile for it to find the signal to the computer again sometimes i have to turn the monitor on and off again. To turn the power on you can use the remote but to use the touch sensitive power button on the monitor just make sure to press kind of firm. Speackers not needed but they do not get very loud at all even with all settings turned up on pc and on monitor. As with almost all LCD's the viewing angles are not the greatest but these are a little bettter than most I have seen as it mostly just gets a little darker. Also, the monitor has no tilt adjustment but not a big deal as it does come with swivel. Can sometimes notice that the corner of the screen is somewhat dimmer and not as clear. Overall the cons do not even come close to overweighing the pros, so buy this monitor.
Overall Review: Have not yet tried any other connections besides DVI. Some USB connectors on the monitor would be a cool option but now really neccessary. Always a fan of Samsung. Some Picture-in-Picture would be a neat feature to add. No HDMI cable is provided but really should be. Could defenitely use some hieght adjustments also.
