Worked as expected
Pros: Long, cheap, works as expected
Cons: None.
Not exactly what I expected
Pros: It's cheap and it comes with 2 SATA cables. It is recognized in a Dell 725.
Cons: It doesn't work with all motherboards. I tried every PCI slot in my motherboard (MSI K8N Neo2) and it never once was recognized. It also does not come with the power connectors shown in the picture. I had a heck of a time just trying to get it to work and after serveral hours gave up on it for my motherboard. I'll install it in a junk box and try to get freenas to work on it.
Excellent performance per dollar
Pros: Very Fast Comes with migration software (Acronis) 256 is a binary number and just feels better for size
Cons: None
Overall Review: The drive came well packaged and with a free copy of Acronis True Image HD. Not the full version but enough to backup the entire hard drive of our d630 and restore it on to this drive. The software was not the most intuitive but certainly understandable when you paid attention to what you were doing. I used a second party system with a SATA reader for the transfer. The drive performance has been outstanding and took a 10 to 15 minute boot (pretty sure the drive was about to fail) and dropped it to a 15 second boot (a good portion is bios). My wife is thrilled with the results and has taken a laptop that was almost worthless to a valuable asset again.
Works as expected
Pros: It's long, cheap, and claims USB 3.0 Cable is well made and connectors are nice and tight.
Cons: Does not hit USB 3.0 speeds. It's a distance thing.
Use with 50" plasma TV
Pros: Easy to use, and screws in properly to hold with no bulkyness
Cons: None
Overall Review: I was looking for an adapter to go from DVI to HDMI for my media center with an nvidia FX3500 card. This is for a 50" plasma and VGA only allowed 720P. This adapter gave me true 1080P to the TV and only required that I update to the latest nvidia drivers and then set my TV to THX mode so that the screen aligned properly to each corner. The key was the THX mode. The manual alignment tool with nvidia never worked. The TV used was a Panasonic P50GT25. Flawless picture now and the truest blacks. I truly am happy with gaming and movies now. Being DVI to HDMI, I'm not concerned with passing audio over HDMI.
Use with Canon DSLR
Pros: Fast, works as anticipated, no compatibility issues
Cons: None
Overall Review: I spent a little more than I wanted to but I'm happy with the speed of the card and I was close to my price of $1/GB including S/H.
