very fast drive
Pros: using this to run Ivory piano library [35gb], now Logic doesn't give me any more slow disk messages. ssd doesn't get hot, doesn't make noise. will get another when the price comes down. so far i'm very pleased with the performance.
Cons: price per gb should come with a bracket at this price
nice hd
Pros: drive is fast and quiet. i plugged it in and its working fine. no issues with my mobo etc...
Cons: 5 year warranty
Overall Review: 16 meg cache is nice, this drive perform's well for my needs.
surprisingly good sound
Pros: great compact stereo/dvd player. it plays homemade mp3 cd's as well. system has good sound for it's size. optical and coaxial output so you can hook it up to a real receiver if you need 5.1 or dts.
Cons: remote lacks an on/off button. design of remoter could be better. for this price those are minor concerns.
Overall Review: great price for this unit,it works well. im very pleased with this.
solid mobo
Pros: this is a decent board i got for a e6300. i set everything up and it worked first time, board didn't give me any issues.
Cons: placement of the ide connector could have been better. if you like to keep your dvd drive at the top of your case then make sure your ide cable is long enough as the mb connector is at the bottom of the board. its not really a big deal though, just drop your dvd drive down a place or 2.
Overall Review: no fans on the mobo, it uses heatpipes to cool the chipset. optical in/out is nice. ample usb ports also has 2 firewire ports [a 4pin common on laptops and a regular one as well]
e6300 rocks
Pros: great cpu, i upgraded from a p4 2.8 one of the lga's to the e6300/abit ab9/2gb gskill dual channel kit. the speed is noticable but surprisingly the system is noticably quieter and cooler with the retail hs/fan.
Cons: the pins on the heatsink that secure to the motherboard could have been of better quality. however, the heatsink is firmly attached and it hasn't come off so that's a good sign.
Overall Review: cpu has decent overclocking potential, with decent memory/mobo it should clock well. many other users have good experiencing clocking this cpu.
very good memory, very good price!
Pros: i'm using this with an abit ab9/intel e6300. the ab9 is based on the 965xpress chipset. system booted up no problem. voltage was at 2.0v i dropped it to 1.9v and its working well in dual channel mode.
Cons: lifetime warranty. 4-4-4-12 timing. attractive packaging. great price.
Overall Review: i should have bought another set of this memory when it was on sale. this is the first time i've bought gskill memory and it won't be the last. thanks newegg!
