Pros: See 1st review (D15AV0W3D's)

Cons: See 1st review (D15AV0W3D's)

Overall Review: Update on free Black Box game included: after doing some searching, and emails back and forth w/ Sapphire (tech@althonmicro.com), I discovered that the link they had was wrong (www.steamgames.com/activateati). The correct address, in case anyone else gets a box missing the voucher, is: http://www.steampowered.com/activateATI/ This gets you a free copy of Half Life 2: Episode 2, Portal, Team Fortress 2, and Day of Defeat: Source, all from Valve. If yours comes missing the voucher like mine did, email Sapphire for a product key, and use the link above, then voila-- 4 games you can play on your Steam acct. for free! If you're reading this and find it informative, please mark "helpful" so others having this issue will find it. Thanks!

Most Critical Review

3 out of 4 sticks OK...

Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model BL2KIT12864AA804
Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model BL2KIT12864AA804

Pros: Very cheap RAM, good timings, Newegg's shipping and service. The pair that I did NOT have to ship back for RMA is working OK so far.

Cons: I bought 2 pairs. Out of the 4 sticks, 1 was bad. And looking at many of the other reviews, a 25% failure rate doesn't seem far-fetched. Had to pay eleven dollars shipping to send the DOA set back to Newegg.

Overall Review: I took a chance on Cruc!al. Having paid an extra eleven bones for shipping, I could have (and should have) bought a pair of G.Sk!ll and avoided this hassle altogether.

Does not work

ASUS RT-N13U/B IEEE802.11n Wireless 3 in 1(Router, Repeater, AP) Router w/ USB can support 3G(AT&T,T-Mobile,Verizon) USB dongle WIFI sharing and All-in-One Printer Server(Open source DD-WRT Support)
ASUS RT-N13U/B IEEE802.11n Wireless 3 in 1(Router, Repeater, AP) Router w/ USB can support 3G(AT&T,T-Mobile,Verizon) USB dongle WIFI sharing and All-in-One Printer Server(Open source DD-WRT Support)

Pros: I bought this with the intention of putting my AT&T U-verse router/modem combo into bridged mode and using this as my primary router (since the Motorola NVG510 they provided me with is sketchy), with a 3rd router (Linksys WRT54G) as a wireless bridge for some wired machines on the 2nd fl of my house. These 3 things led me to choose this router: wireless N, USB support for cell carriers, and DD-WRT support.

Cons: Doesn't work. Tried 2 devices, laptop and desktop. Whether I have my machines set w/ static IP or DHCP, neither way recognizes the router at it's address: 192.168.1.1. Reset router several times. Thought maybe it needed a reset to factory defaults, that didn't work either. I've heard good things about this model, but the refurb'd units seem to be having issues. I'll get it RMA'd I guess, but I don't have the warm fuzzies about getting another refurb.

Overall Review: Even if I the replacement works, I may use this model as an AP instead of my primary, to get wireless N if I need it, and forget about the option of having a USB connection as a backup for my ISP. We'll see...

For the money, a great amp!

Pros: Does what I need it to do, powers 2 wakeboard tower speakers (6.5") on channels 1 and 2, with channels 3 and 4 bridged to a 12" sub. It's cheap, it's marinized, and it's easy to hook up.

Cons: Runs a little hot. This is normal for amps, but in a boat on a hot day, it can potentially overheat. I haven't had it shut off on me yet, but I've felt it a few times, and it nearly burned the product logo onto my palm! So next summer I'm going to install some 120mm fans to cool it off.

Overall Review: It's mounted in the storage compartment of my boat, which doesn't get airflow, but it isn't cramped in there, either, so I'm hoping the fans do their job and cool it off to a reasonable temp.

Works well!

Boss Audio 1000W 4 Channels Bridgeable Marine Amplifier
Boss Audio 1000W 4 Channels Bridgeable Marine Amplifier

Pros: Easy hook-ups, Newegg's fast delivery and great service, device is marinized, price was the best I could find, and it's got a 1 year manufacturer's warranty. Sounds incredible for the price! Remote subwoofer control is clutch! I can fine-tune the bass for each song, on the fly, with the control mounted right under the dash in my boat, which, coincidentally, is right where my subwoofer is installed! The remote control unit also emits a blue LED light, which looks cool at night. I wish my boat's gauge panel lights were blue to match it (they're red).

Cons: Only two minor complaints: 1. It runs a little hot. However, it hasn't shut off on me yet, and to be fair, I have it hooked up in a storage compartment on the port side of my boat where it doesn't get much airflow, and I've been out in 90+ degree heat most of the summer. I keep it turned up very loud for 5-10 minutes during a wakeboard set, and then turn the volume down between sets, but it's running for hours on end each time I go out. 2. The speaker and power terminals aren't your standard screw-down type. It took me some MacGuyver-type maneuvers to get it hooked up, but it works! Like I said, these are minor complaints, and not enough to knock off an egg, just wanted others to be aware!

Overall Review: I have this amp running two 6.5" boat speakers (mounted on my wakeboard tower) and a 12" sub. I have channels 1 and 2 going to the tower speakers, and channels 3 and 4 bridged to the sub. And I've got the high-pass and low-pass filters adjusted accordingly. All other boat speakers are running directly from the head unit.

Heats well!

Soleus Air HGW-308BL Wall Mounted Micathermic Heater
Soleus Air HGW-308BL Wall Mounted Micathermic Heater

Pros: Does what it's supposed to do, and more importantly, does it silently and w/out blowing around any dust. It's been heating my living room this winter, which is a big space w/ openings to other rooms/hallways which allows some of the heat to escape, yet it still keeps the area quite warm.

Cons: Wheels are a bit wobbly, not a real issue if you're mounting it, but for the price, I can't complain, nor knock an egg off for something that doesn't effect the performance of the product at all.

Overall Review: Interesting technology. It gives off LOTS of heat, yet you can touch the front grill w/ bare hands, and not burn yourself. Pretty cool, no pun intended... ;)
