Warning, the buttons are not truly programmable.
Pros: please see my previous review. Positive addendum: There is a free program called XMouseControl Mirror which allows one to unleash the whole potential of this mouse. Downloaded from: http://www.highrez.co.uk/downloads/ Kudos to Phil! I am raising my rating to four eggs. One is subtracted for many hours lost.
Cons: please see my previous review EVGA support do not understand what "programmable buttons" mean.
Warning, the buttons are not truly programmable.
Pros: Smooth, sensitive, relatively solid feel.
Cons: I bought it as a replacement for my slowly dying Logitech MX518 lured by the words "programmable buttons" . Unfortunately, multiple buttons are NOT programmable, whatever is said. Instead, they change the "speed" and "sensitivity" pre-programmed settings invented by "gamers". .Unfortunately, this mouse is useless for me. Programmable buttons I used to use for editing, starting with the basic Windows commands like ctrl-c. ctrl-x, ctrl-v are not available with the current driver. Warning: this mouse has no programmable buttons like other mice do. Hopefully somebody will write a driver allowing me to recall this expensive mouse from the rejects bin.
Overall Review: overall feeling of engineering triumphing over science and the common sense. Slightly garish LED illumination.
