Most Critical Review

Quality control issue

EVGA 015-P3-1482-AR GeForce GTX 480 (Fermi) SuperClocked 1536MB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
EVGA 015-P3-1482-AR GeForce GTX 480 (Fermi) SuperClocked 1536MB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

Pros: One out of three cards purchased runs fine and not overheated. It is not noisy.

Cons: Two out of three cards purchased from NEWEGG were DOA. Fans are working, cards are heated, however there were no video signal during and after POST from each individual card; as a consequence can't run dual or triple SLI mode on a rig.

Overall Review: Processor: intel Core i7 X980 + Cooler Master V10 Mobo: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD9/BIOS F3 Memory: G.Skill F3-12800CL9T2 - 6x4GB, 24 GB PS: SilverStone Strider ST1500 Case: Lian Li PC-P80 Armorsuit OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

Problematic board

GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD9 LGA 1366 Intel X58 USB 3.0 XL ATX Intel Motherboard
GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD9 LGA 1366 Intel X58 USB 3.0 XL ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: If all features were as adrvertised, it will be a wonderful mobo. However, it is not the case.

Cons: During POST, indicator run through all numbers till FF, - ready to boot up, however there is no video signal from 3-way or two-way SLI EVGA brand new GTX 480 cards mounted on the 16XPCIe slots. One long and one short beeps during POST indicate potential problem with the motherboard. Also having problems connecting peripheral devices through IDE cable - connecting two CD disc drives through IDE cable is causing loss of video signal from a single working video card.

Overall Review: Quality control for $700 board should be better. Design is not well thought. PCIE_12 V connector is interfering with Hybrid Silent-Pipe Module.
