StarTech.com USB to Slimline SATA CD/DVD Optical Drive Enclosure -Black (SLMSOPTB)
Pros: Solid. Cable long enough for my portable.
Cons: Ended up breaking the plastic tab to remove the back bezel. It did not make a difference on the final installation.

Initial opinion on the drive
SAMSUNG 850 EVO 2.5" 250GB SATA III 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-75E250B/AM
Pros: Faster than what I had before
Cons: I had some problems cloning with the provided software. Phoned Samsung for support. They refused to provide any. Ended up cloning with Acronis.
Overall Review: Minus one egg for the software. Minus 2 eggs for the total lack of support.
