Transcend 1GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Laptop Memory Model JM667QSJ-1G

Pros: Cheap

Cons: none

Overall Review: Works to perfection

Cheap and works great, definitely recommend

MSI PRO Z690-A DDR4 LGA 1700 Intel Z690 SATA 6Gb/s ATX Intel Motherboard
MSI PRO Z690-A DDR4 LGA 1700 Intel Z690 SATA 6Gb/s ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: - It says refurbished, but it appears to look and work like a completely new mobo. - Good VRM, and good overclocking features. - Support for DDR4, makes it a good candidate to swap existing parts with. - 2.5gbps nic is made by realtek (Intel's own I225-V nics are terrible, and are prone to drop packets when used above 1gbps, just google it if you don't believe me) - BIOs flashback makes it easy to update bios before even inserting your CPU or RAM.

Cons: - No wifi, but if needed for $10 more you can get the wifi version of this board from Newegg under the same refurb/sale/rebate available right now. - Not specific to this board, but heavily consider getting a lga1700 CPU mounting bracket for an additional $10-$15. - If you plan to use a 13th gen cpus, you'll need to update the bios using the mobo's flashback functionality before it'll work. (This process is easy and takes less than 10 minutes, but if you're just looking for something plug and play with 13th gen this isn't it)

Overall Review: - ~$80 with rebate is a steal for this board. - i5-13600k Pcores 5.5 allcore, Ecores 4.4 allcore, Ring 4.4, at 1.28v stable, and temps at full stress test holds in the mid 80s with my 280mm AIO with a cpu mounting bracket (mid 60s is the highest i've seen while gaming). - When disabling the Ecores, i could get higher Pcore 5.7 and Ring 4.8 around at 1.35v stable with mode 2 vdroop, but the extra Pcore performance is not worth the loss of Ecores to me for an extra .2ghz on Pcores, plus at that voltage during stress tests generates more heat then my AIO can handle and there it'll thermal throttle, but i found it to be fine for gaming as loads never got the CPU hot enough to throttle. - Have my 4 ddr4 sticks of ram running stable at 4000 cl18 - buildzoid has youtube content OCing with this exact board, and is worth watching. - My Win 10 OEM i got years ago didn't like the hardware swap, so i had to re-license my PC. If you use an microsoft online windows account or if you use a "enter maintenance mode" setting which supposedly exists within Windows you should be fine. I just got another grey-market Win Pro OEM key for cheap.
