Perfect for our remote site

StarTech.com 4POSTRACK12A 12U 4 Post Server Equipment Open Frame Rack with Adjustable Posts & Casters

Pros: Standard size rack, accepts rails from our HP servers that we had in APC Server cabinet. Solid enough to put several servers in. With no reviews we were a bit apprehensive that our server rails wouldn't fit but they fit like a charm.

Cons: Had a bit of trouble getting all the bolts to thread. Holes marginally misaligned but we did get them all in with some struggle.

Overall Review: Thought about taking an egg off because of the machining being slightly off, but really no: this product is quite fine.

ASUS VW193DR Black 19" Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 50000 :1 (ASCR)
ASUS VW193DR Black 19" Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 50000 :1 (ASCR)

Pros: Purchased 4 of these and must say that - for the price - it is a Good Monitor to have as a spare around the office. They all worked and have no complaints about the Functional Ability of these monitors. However I would NEVER buy another one again!!! (see "cons")

Cons: Despite how its Specs profess that it is equal to others I noticed immediately that at a high resolution all monitors lack any kind of image clarity. Colors bleed together, images are smudged looking compared with other monitors and text seems very "Fuzzy". Also the Aspect Ratio on this monitor is WAY OFF for any kind of professional use. Honestly, A 17" monitor with a 5:4 aspect ratio "Feels" twice as big as this monitor. If your buying this monitor to watch movies then its probably fine - anything else it is pretty much pointless in my opinion. I set one up on my desk and ended up putting my 4 year old 17" HP within 5 minutes because I couldn't stand the image quality OR the aspect ratio.

HP Desktop PC Elite 8200 3.10GHz 8GB 250GB HDD Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit
HP Desktop PC Elite 8200 3.10GHz 8GB 250GB HDD Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit

Pros: Good bang for your buck if you are into the refurbs. Way better quality, condition and price than TigerD. Could hardly tell it was a refurb / off lease unit. Arrived in Practically Perfect Brand New Condition. Fast for a Windows 7 machine with a conventional HDD. Swap with a SSD and you would have a pretty quick desktop good for just about anything other than heavy CAD or Video Editing. 8GB RAM is sweet.

Cons: Uses display port - as opposed to your traditional HDMI or DVI-D for Secondary Video. Watch out for that - you are going to need an adapter to hook up multiple screens if you don't already have one. Mouse and Keyboard suck... but I didn't buy it for the mouse or the keyboard.

Overall Review: I administer about 110 desktop devices and this is one of my favorites overall. Good "Business-Performance" for the price.

Great value on HP laptop

HP Laptop ProBook AMD Athlon II P340 2GB Memory 320GB HDD ATI Radeon HD 4250 15.6" Windows 7 Professional 32-bit 4525s (XT950UT#ABA)

Pros: Very attractive, beautiful screen, excellent price for a full sized laptop with Windows 7 Pro.

Cons: Touchpad is tricky to use. No access to hardware (HDD, RAM, CD etc) from the bottom so working on these is a bear! Unit is not dockable

Overall Review: I have bought 6 of these in the last month for our company to use, at this price they are kind of disposable units - we hope to get a couple of years out of them, unlike most of our other laptops that have lasted for maybe 6-8 years but nobody wants to use a laptop that is more than 4 years old anyhow.
