Cross Flow Fan Really Helps hot MOBOs
Pros: I added the cross flow fan after I assembled a PD830-P5LD2 system with 10 Hard drives dual opticals and a Floppy. The Motherboard was measuring itselft at around 50 Deg C in an office environment prior to installing the cross flow fan. After installation which was tricky given the system was already assembled, the motherboard measured itself at 38 deg C. I didn't have any of the issues reported
Cons: While the CM Stacker accessories are nice to have, they should be part of the whole chassis when you buy it. $xxx-$xxx is a lot of cash for a chassis without power supply. Look into Antec P180, it if meets your needs it is a better and quieter solution. I have one of each. CM Stacker is the 50 Caliber Chassis for those who intend to fill it
Overall Review: The 4 into 3 drive bay module is a sweet piece of hardware. I am now using 2 of them and have another on order for 12 drives in 9 bays
I own one and just ordered another
Pros: Plenty of clean power for dual Socket Quad core platforms; single rail design means you don't have to budget power across the rails like the Galaxy; New lower price
Cons: Like all 1KW supplies, size is a factor. verify you have room for the extended length.
Overall Review: The best value is the Silencer 750, however if you need a kilowatt, this is the best supply of the bunch
