slight oddity

XFX HD-489A-ZDDC Radeon HD 4890 XXX Edition 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card
XFX HD-489A-ZDDC Radeon HD 4890 XXX Edition 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card

Pros: for ten extra dollars i get the same card as my OC'd 4890's that i use at home. with the OC from the factory, so no risk of warranty voiding damage. Sluggish Acad no more.

Cons: as with any 48xx, it's big, it's loud if it gets over 30% fan speed, and it makes a nice space heater. it's missing the 8-pin PCI-E adapter.

Overall Review: bought this card for a computer at work. although the card requires 1x6-pin and 1x8-pin pcie adapters the package includes two 6-pin adapters and no 8-pin so if your PSU doesn't have an 8-pin built in or 6+2's, plan on getting an adapter. thankfully newegg carries such a device! small blemish on what is otherwise a rock solid card
