ADATA 16GB Class 6 Micro SDHC Flash Card with SD adaptor Model AUSDH16GCL6-RA1
ADATA 16GB Class 6 Micro SDHC Flash Card with SD adaptor Model AUSDH16GCL6-RA1

Pros: Big capacity, good price, works with Blackberry Bold

Cons: None

Overall Review: I wanted to upgrade the storage space on my Blackberry Bold so I could store more cached stations on it using Slacker Radio. This card worked fine out of the box, all it needed was to be formatted which the BB did for me with no trouble. Now I have tons of space for multimedia. I didn't really notice a performance increase with it being a Class 6 card (as opposed to my previous 2GB microSD card), but I think it's that the BB is processing data as fast as it can already. However when transferring files from my computer, I was getting transfer rates around 7MB/s. As a warning to Slacker Radio users, the application has a maximum limit of 25 stations that can be cached on a memory card. So even though with 16GB I should be able to cache over 100 stations, I can only do 25. For me personally, 25 stations is more than enough for me. A-Data has two other cards on Newegg, they all come with the same MicroSDHC card, it's just the adapters and the price, so I went with the lowest price.

ASUS WL-138g V2 Wireless Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g PCI Up to 54Mbps Wireless Data Rates
ASUS WL-138g V2 Wireless Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g PCI Up to 54Mbps Wireless Data Rates

Pros: Supports WPA2, decent range

Cons: slow transfer rates

Overall Review: I bought this to put in my htpc in the living room running Xubuntu Linux. After some playing around I got Ubuntu to recognize it and install the drivers to get it working. I mainly have this so I can transfer multimedia from my desktop to my htpc wirelessly via ftp. This is where I'm disappointed. Typically my laptop with an ASUS wireless G card gets transfer rates around 2.5MB/s when retrieving files. This card varies quite a bit, but after trying the antenna in different positions I can get it to transfer at a steady 1MB/s, and the machine is only one room away.

Great solution for laptop hard drives

Rosewill RX81U-AT-25A Rigid aluminum 2.5" SATA to USB 2.0 Ext. Enclosure
Rosewill RX81U-AT-25A Rigid aluminum 2.5" SATA to USB 2.0 Ext. Enclosure

Pros: It works as advertised, easy setup. Can use double usb cable to power the hard driver or AC adapter (not included though). It does include a nice little carrying case.

Cons: The included usb cord is rather short. Not designed for quick swaping of internal hard drives because you would have to unscrew this enclosure to switch drives inside.

Overall Review: I broke my laptop but needed to get all the files that were stored on the hard drive. So this was the perfect solution. I put in the old hard drive, plugged it into my Ubuntu Linux desktop and it worked like a charm. Fast transfer rates, and now that I'm done getting all the files off of it, I now have a nice external usb hard drive.
