Overall Review: I really like using these Xbox controllers for PC gaming. They're very comfortable and it's easy to get used to the buttons. I've owned this for over a year and it still works like new, so it's very durable (though I handle my devices with care). My grandson, well, that's another story. I highly recommend this product.
Overall Review: This is the first AMD system I've built in a very long time. So far I am pleased with performance results considering what I use it for (some gaming and regular personal use - internet, music, MS Office in general). I do like Intel a little bit more, but considering price point, this processor is more than adequate. Not disappointed at all. I recommend this product.
Overall Review: I enjoy using this PS. It has worked great, from day one. I've only owned this and have been using this G5 model for a month and a half but I've had no problems so far. It just works. I like the labeling printed above the peripheral cable plugs on the case. This the first fully modular PS I've purchased and I must say it really makes for a neater wiring configuration. It is also the first EVGA product I've every purchased. Will definitely consider purchasing from them again. The PS is very quiet. I really can't hear any sound from it while on ECO mode (haven't used in 'power' mode yet). It works very well the way it is. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to purchase a good quality PS for an upgrade or a new build (which is why I purchased).
Pros: Easy to install, works well with Windows 10 and all of my games
Overall Review: Though I haven't owned this product for very long, so far it is working very well. Many of my games look noticeably better than they did with my last video card, though it only had 4 GB of memory. This video card seems to run very cool; I haven't heard the fans run or speed up at all since the initial card installation, when they came on for a few seconds and then stopped. Installation was very easy and the Radeon software was applied without any glitches. It just works well, very pleased with it.
Pros: This is just the right size case that I have been looking for, for quite a while. This is a well designed case, and I found the quality of the components to be excellent, too. All of the fans and LED's worked fine. I used this case to replace a case from a previous build. The internal temperature of the case is very cool. You cannot feel any heat whatsoever from the outside of it. I have yet to check the temps in the BIOS, but it has to be cooler than any case I've ever owned. The cable routing provides for a super-clean, clutter-free interior look from the side panel window. I really love this product, very pleased with the install. This case fits my needs 100%. Very reasonably priced, too.
Cons: The instructions are not very clear for someone who might be using this for a first-time build. I would have preferred to be able to add a DVD drive (in addition to my installed Bluray drive) but I am very happy with it the way it is, not necessary to have 2 optical drives. I installed a 3.5" multi-card/USB reader in the second external bay.
Overall Review: I would highly recommend this product for a new build, or to replace an aging current case (as I used this for).
Pros: This hard drive has been working great so far. Seems to be performing very well concerning speed. I've used WD hard drives almost exclusively for at least 20 years and have never had one fail. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I will continue to use their products as long as I get great service from them.
Overall Review: Great shipping service from Newegg as well.
Pros: Reads & Writes DVD-R's & CD-R's
Cons: Does not work with ASUS E-Green Utility; states 'No ASUS drive found' though it does show up in Windows Explorer.
Overall Review: Seems to work as it should, but the included software ASUS E-Green Utility does not 'see' or support this drive as it is supposedly designed to be. I would only recommend this burner if you do not care about this flawed feature but need a optical disc burner that does seem to work as an ordinary unit would. I contacted ASUS about this and they could not fix it or explain why it is happening. Not exactly as advertised. An A+ for Newegg, and a C for ASUS.
Cons: This item did not work when it arrived. Slider did not move and the thumb wheel did not seem to work properly. The quality seemed to be quite low, though it did look good in appearance. I cannot recommend this product considering my experience, though the one I received may have been defective.
Pros: Good product, easy to install, works as it is designed to. No issues so far, very satisfied with my purchase.
Overall Review: As this is a marketplace seller, wanted to mention that I received my shipment in 6 business days. That is, from China to east cost USA. Seller shipped out the same day that I placed my order, and packed the item very well. Excellent service, so I would say you can buy with confidence from Sedna.
Pros: So far this mainboard has been working fine. Has adequate amounts of USB ports and SATA ports. Would have liked to have a couple more SATA 6.0 ports, though. One reviewer reported 2 dead rear USB ports. You may need to install a driver from the supplied DVD disk. Try installing the ASMedia USB 3.0 driver; that should enable the 2 'dead' USB ports you are experiencing. The UEFI BIOS interface is nice, very easy to navigate and change settings using a mouse. Haven't installed any of the support software, so I can't comment on that. Everything hooked up easily and seems to works as it was designed to. I think it is a pretty good value for the money spent on this board.
Pros: These work fine. Bought for a new build and they were on the ASUS certified list for the mainboard I purchased. No problems at all; I have had great service from this set and from 2 other GSkill matched sets I bought 1 & 2 years ago. I have been very pleased with all GSkill products that I own.
Pros: Nice processor, works great. I don't really know what else to say about this product. I'm not an overclocker so I left all settings as 'stock'. Very satisified with purchase.
Pros: Works great, fast with lots of storage space. I use this drive as a Windows 7 master, clean install. No problems after 7 months of use and runs all programs fast. Easy to install, but if you are a novice or you do not comfortable, you may need some installation help if using as your boot drive (operating system).
Overall Review: I have never had a problem with any WD products, which I have used pretty much exclusively for almost 20 years. Currently have 3 internal and 4 external drives (2 portable ext. and 2 desktop ext.) and I love them all. Never had one fail yet.
Pros: This ram works fine in my ASUS P5K-E machine. Have had no problems since first installed. All programs run great with them, too. I had been using Crucial Balastix (the ones without the LEDs) and these are at least as good. G.Skill makes high quality products and should be considered when shopping for memory products. Very pleased with the purchase.
Pros: Install was very easy (I used the lastest driver & Catalyst Control Center from ATI, not the drivers on the CD). Works very well, no issues at all. I have this card installed in a ASUS P5K-E motherboard which I believe is PCI-E 1.0 supported. So, if you are concerned about whether your older system w/PCI-E will work with this board, I'd say go for it. You may want to double-check with your system board manufacturer just to be certain. My previous graphics board was a HD 3850, which was PCI-E 2.0, and that board worked great, too. You will just not be able to use the graphics board's full capability unless your mainboard is PCI-E 2.1, but it will work and mine works very well.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: This is a great graphics card for the money.
Pros: This is yet another quality drive by Western Digital. Installed easily, though a clean install of Windows 7 had to be tweaked a bit during drive setup. Also had to contact Microsoft to ask them to allow my keycode to be activated again. I received very good support from Microsoft concerning this issue. This drive has been working perfectly so far for me. I am using this on a SATA II (300 mbps) controller, so I can't comment on the SATA 3 (600 mbps) capability or performance, but it works fine in my system. I used a standard SATA data cable and still got a slight increase in the Disk Data Transfer Rate rating in the Windows 7 performance test. I highly recommend this drive and all WD products. I've purchased about 15 Western Digital drives (mostly internal and several external) for my personal machines and have never had any issues.
Overall Review: If you are wondering if this drive is backward compatible with SATA II controllers, I would have to say that they are. I don't know about SATA I controllers, though. Just remember that you will need to have a spare SATA data cable available or purchase a new one with this drive. Same goes for the mounting screws, but most people who upgrade their own machines will have these available.
Pros: I have had this drive installed for 1 month. Works well with all media that I've tried (TDK, HP lightscribe, Ridata). The lightscribe labeling feature worked very well, too. Comes with everything that you will need for installation.
Overall Review: Cost was a little more than some of the other offerings, but I believe that it was worth it.
Pros: Works great - eSATA and USB 2.0. If you have experience with assembling computer components, it is fairly easy to figure out how to make the connections correctly once you crack open the case and install the drive. It took me a little while to get it right and I have some experience with computer building. This is the first hard drive enclosure that I have ever used.
Cons: Instruction manual has a lot to be desired. It has no diagrams showing you how to install the drive or make the required connections. You must be very careful when routing the wires and cables or you could easily scratch the insulation or worse, break the LED wire(s) when closing the cover. A little common sense is required to route the LED wire and place the connector to the 2 pin header. The manual does not show or tell you how to do it properly. You are on your own if you don't have anyone who is computer savy to help you.
Overall Review: One tip I learned, when connecting the front LED wire (2 prong plastic connector with a black wire and a red wire); while holding the chasis with the circuit board away from you, place the plastic LED connector on the 2 prongs on the circuit board (toward the left side). The black wire should be on the left and the red wire on the right. The LED will not light if not connected this way.
Pros: This drive works fine, does everything it was designed to do, and does it well. It is very quiet, no matter what function is in use. I have tried burning CDs and DVDs (even LightScribe), playback of music CDs and movie DVDs and all worked great.
Overall Review: You will need to download the LightScribe software from www.lightscribe.com to use the LightScribe function (if you don't already have it installed on your machine, that is). I recommend using a full-version of disc mastering software instead of the version that comes with the drive. I am currently using Nero 7 Ultimate.
Pros: The fan is very quiet, the blue LED adds a nice glow to the inside of my case. The modular cables are a great feature, providing less clutter inside the case (if you don't use all of them at once). And even if you do use them all, they are covered in black mesh which also adds to the beauty of this PSU. It is working great in the new build that I just put together very recently, with no problems whatsoever.
Overall Review: I have used Antec in the last 4 machines that I built (3 cases and 4 PSUs within the last 6 years) with no issues. Three of those machines are still in use today. As far as my experiences have been so far, Antec makes excellent products that last. I highly recommend them.
Pros: Runs fast and very cool. Fairly easy to install. I think NewEgg gives you a pretty good price/performance ratio with this item. And free next day shipping, too.
Overall Review: Just remember to have your motherboard installed in your case before installing the supplied heatsink. The four mounting pins will not go far enough through the mounting holes on the motherboard if the board is on a flat surface, such as a workbench. Also, check with your motherboard manufacturer to see if you need a BIOS update before you purchase this processor. Most boards with 775 LGA sockets will have a new BIOS version that will enable your motherboard to recognize this processor. And if you are purchasing a new board, check the manufacturer's website or call - you may need to update the BIOS right out of the box to use these newer 45nm chips.
Pros: The install of this board went very smooth for me. It booted right up the first time with the factory installed BIOS ver. 8.00.12 (12/10/07). It recognized my 45nm Core 2 Duo E8400 right away, too. I used the WD hard drive from my last system (ASUS P4P800 Deluxe) without having to reinstall the OS and all other software; I just had to install the chipset drivers along with the NIC and sound drivers as normally required. Concerning the blocked SATA1 port, I was able to fit a data cable on it, although it is a tight fit. I used the cable that came with a WD hd kit on SATA1 port. Just be sure to install the motherboard SATA connector first and then carefully install the video card and you should be fine.
Cons: The only thing I could find is the poor design of the SATA ports placement. Do not let this deter you from considering this motherboard solution. There are plenty of other ports that are accessible, and other than that, I feel that this is a very solid product.
Overall Review: I have not tried to use the RAID function so I cannot review that feature. I normally do not use RAID on my machines. NewEgg shipped this item to me in 1 day! I don't know how they do it, but they do it very well.
Pros: Worked right out of the package, easy to install (although you will need a SATA cable since this is an OEM product). I have had no problems with this drive (owned for about 1 month). Very affordably priced from NewEgg.
Cons: Runs a little slower than my other WD5000AAKS retail drive.
Overall Review: I would recommend downloading WD Data Lifeguard Tools if you don't have a copy on CD. It formats the drive much faster than Windows XP when used as a boot drive (OS install).
Pros: Installed fine right out of the OEM packaging. I used WD DataLifeguard Tools to format the drive (you can download this from the WD website at no charge if you don't already have it and make a bootable CD with it). The drive works great; not the speediest drive I've used, but still has enough to work well. A great drive for the money.
Cons: Just a little noisey; not excessively, though.
Pros: This is by far the best case that I have owned, and I have had many. The looks are phenomenal! The LEDs look very cool, and the paint is beautiful, too. The fold-down side panels are very useful, especially when installing the motherboard and components. The cooling capacity is excellent; my system is running at a constant 95 deg. F (CPU temp). The motherboard is even cooler (84 deg. F). The fans are very quiet; I even installed a fan on the motherboard panel. Plenty of room inside, especially for a mid-tower.
Cons: One of the wires on the front 120mm fan was broken off. I re-attached it and now it works fine. The instructions are not great for inexperienced builders; not bad, though. The red HDD LED cannot be seen from the front of the door panel; you can see it if you look behind the door, though. I will take the door apart and see if there is anything that I can do to fix this.
Overall Review: All that said, this is a nice box, and the price from NewEgg was excellent. They shipped it to me in 2 days! Overall, this product is of very good quality. I am quite satisfied with my purchase.
