Rebate not worth the trouble

SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6670 2GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 Graphics Card 100326-2GL
SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6670 2GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 Graphics Card 100326-2GL

Pros: It works. I can even use it as a RemoteFX device in Hyper-V. Some web sites showed this device's performance as being at the top of what is currently/recently available for anywhere near its price range, with anything beating it costing much more; but I cannot verify any of that (nor how long that would remain true).

Cons: Rebate can take more time than it is worth, literally. 4myrebate.com handles the service. I don't think they are scammers, but they initially rejected my submission because an "order confirmation" does not count as a "receipt" since you could theoretically cancel that order (never mind the product UPC). A call to them to find out why left me on the phone for nearly half an hour waiting. Newegg does provide an invoice (from your "My Account" page) once the item has been shipped, so use that instead. In the end, the $15 of the rebate will be completely offset by more than an hour of wasted time on such nonsense. Oh, and as for Hyper-V and RemoteFX, I can't get it to work right due to other problems, so I don't recommend counting on it until that technology has had more time to mature.

Simply works, good price

Pros: Works. Movable external antenna allows minor repositioning to get around nulls and voids. Good price. Overall, excellent value.

Cons: Not the latest wireless technology, so you don't get the highest possible speed with the most up-to-date wireless routers. But so what?

Overall Review: Not a single problem installing and using this item.
