Serious monitor, affordable price.
Pros: I do lots of picture editing using some of the most common software programs such as; Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom and Picasa. This monitor is very bright, the black is really black, you do not see any white back illumination shades. The viewing angle really is amazing. If you have to show your customer what you up to (graphically) this is a pretty impressive monitor. It has built in AC/DC transformer but it does not heat up at all. The colors are just perfect with the standard out of the box settings but you play with it to get your custom setting. It is big, 19” viewable! I do not know about gaming and similar stuff because I mostly do pictures and flash animation/galleries, so far this has been my best buy for the year. Is way better and clear than similar price Samsung, Acer and Dell. ViewSonic really is the choice of professionals and they are up to the slogan. It has both analog and digital input, I'm hook up with DVI but also analog works OK. Digital is way to go.
Cons: Even though my monitor made it safe with UPS, be aware and ask if you can to have it shipped inside an extra box! My arrive in its original box, the one that with the handle that you usually get when you buy it at the store to be put in the trunk of your car for few miles ride! I was afraid to open that box, but it was mint, in and out!
Overall Review: You won't believe the little built in speakers quality! Check it out at your local store and then save $$$ with NewEgg.
NOT A 480MB/S UNIT
Pros: IT WORKS BUT IN LOW SPEED MODE ONLY.
Cons: IT DOES NOT PERFORMS UP TO 480MB/S AS PER SPECS. NOT A USB2 UNIT.
Overall Review: I PURCHASED AN EXTERNAL USB2 UNIT AND HAD A MUCH BETTER EXPERIENCE. I SHOOT IN RAW AND EACH PHOTO IS 6MB, CANNOT WAIT 4 HOURS FOR MY 16GB MEMORY TO BE DOWNLOADED.
very nice!
Pros: Very sturdy Looks expensive Great paint and finishing details
Cons: None.
Superb!
Pros: Real plug and play, it has dip switch but if you want to use it as it is, will work just fine and read your two drives as 1 big one! Very fast writing rates SATA power supply and SATA data socket and cables included Good size (AMP) external power supply
Cons: none, so far.
Overall Review: Looks very good next to my MacMini, same aluminum and similar Mac design.
