Pretty Nice Job Montech!

MONTECH, KING 95 PRO Dual-Chamber ATX Mid-Tower PC Gaming Case, High-Airflow, Toolless Panels, Sturdy Curved Tempered Glass Front, Six ARGB PWM Fan Pre-installed with Fan Hub, Black
MONTECH, KING 95 PRO Dual-Chamber ATX Mid-Tower PC Gaming Case, High-Airflow, Toolless Panels, Sturdy Curved Tempered Glass Front, Six ARGB PWM Fan Pre-installed with Fan Hub, Black

Pros: Watched a review and bought 2 of these. Just finished the first build (see photos). Very quiet machine, but still have to stress test. Push button rgb controls on the front panel and then trying to use Precision X-1 (EVGA) to get it to match, then the AIO from NZXT. So 2 software programs and a hardwire selection button on the case. The reverse fans are a great idea, I see a few companies copying this engineering trick, not sure if Montech was the first to come up with it.

Cons: Just one, I hope Montech comes up with a case specific vertical gpu mount bracket for this. I have a special order coming from overseas that sits on top of the fans, using the fan mount bolts to secure the vertical bracket. Will try to update this post if it works. I have 4 different vertical mounts and the Phanteks premium come close to working. The other 2 Phanteks and the 1 LIan Li will not work. They are too close to the glass. The horizontal support peg was a nice gesture, however with the fans in the floor you are limited and it will not work with any EVGA 3080/3090/and the TI for each, because the gpu's are curved on the bottom. A grated floor over the fans would open up more opportunties for horizontal support (like the Hyte Y60). Large slots to let airflow up, but give an option for a usable surface.

Overall Review: With the case and fans for 149.00, you can't beat it. Of course I paid a heavy price in shipping to Alaska to get them here and NewEgg needs to be more competitive in this area, because if these ever go to your competitor, then that would be free shipping and although I like NewEgg, I had to buy 2 cases to get reduced shipping. This last comment is neither a pro/con, I know where I live and it is the price we pay up here.

Seasonic SYNCRO DPC-850, 850W 80+ Platinum Power Supply, CONNECT Module Cable Management, SSR-850FB, Must Use with Case Q704 to Function Normally.

Pros: Clean cable management

Cons: It has been 7 months in operations now and this morning was a long "click/pop" while using the PC for work (basically no high demands on the system). Check power cord for power and it was good, then started the RMA process with Seasonic and now I see this product may not be carried any longer. So we will wait and see.

Overall Review: To early to tell, I know this is a "Platnium" PSU, so was not expecting this.

5 Rating, but read my comment

Fractal Design Define 7 Black Brushed Aluminum / Steel E-ATX Silent Modular Dark Tinted Tempered Glass Window Mid Tower Computer Case
Fractal Design Define 7 Black Brushed Aluminum / Steel E-ATX Silent Modular Dark Tinted Tempered Glass Window Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Build in this case before and love Storage, Storage and Storage (can be your gaming PC and a NAS) The case has been around forever, Fractal is obvious doing something right for this case to be still available for this long Best case that still offers the optical drive option...yes, people still have requests for this (probably burning CDs/DVDs to their NAS HDDs

Cons: This is the most important negative; if your VRM area is extra tall, you CANNOT fit a 280 AIO in the top position, the assembly will hit the VRM tower and you are about 3/8" from the holes to align I am a builder, so I rarely complain about price, but this is over priced for this case Front fans are blocked with the cover that closes, if you run your PC with the door open, you can get better thermals. Check the YouTubers (Gamer's Nexus...etc) the popular ones have reviewed this case.

Overall Review: Yes, this is my 2nd or 3rd build in this case for people, Fractal has put a lot of options in this case. Only hiccup with this build is have to get a 240 AIO and spent money for nothing with buying the 280. But I will use it on another build or sell it.

Bought 2, 2nd one has RGB issues

MONTECH, KING 95 PRO Dual-Chamber ATX Mid-Tower PC Gaming Case, High-Airflow, Toolless Panels, Sturdy Curved Tempered Glass Front, Six ARGB PWM Fan Pre-installed with Fan Hub, Prussian Blue

Pros: Love the case, as I have built 2 PC's in them so far. Easy to work on, better than most cases for cable management and the inside cover with screws holding it closed is excellent, not like some of the competition that relies on a magnet

Cons: Now this is about to sound trivial, but when you sell PC's this will be an annoying item I will have to deal with or mark down my price to sell it. And that is the RGB defaults back to the bluish white color ever time the machine hibernates or is turned off and back on. I cannot sell this PC with this problem, no PC Gamer is going to want to set up their rgb every time they turn the machine on or come back and wake up the PC after it hibernates.

Overall Review: Only reason this is not a 1-egg is due to the design. Would be nice for Montech to design (sell separately) a GPU horizontal and vertical support brackets. Horizontal should be built into the case very easily with a stainless steel rod on the back wall and I would pay more for this case for that option. Vertical mount in the photo was a competitors bracket. For anyone wanting to do this, make sure you get a "solid" vertical mount gpu bracket as you will not be able to shim it with foam blocks due to the fans. I mean you could do it, but it will probably look tacky. Montech Support Rep: if you are reading this, I already emailed you directly for a solution and I do need a solution or an RMA authorization, I will not sell this to anyone with this problem. Or if you know what is causing this issue, send the new parts and I'll change it. Thanks

MSI MPG Z390 GAMING PRO CARBON AC LGA 1151 (300 Series) Intel Z390 HDMI USB 3.1 ATX Intel Motherboard
MSI MPG Z390 GAMING PRO CARBON AC LGA 1151 (300 Series) Intel Z390 HDMI USB 3.1 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: - I am typically a MSI buyer, so I know the Bios outlay and it's pretty simple to navigate - Easy install, what the highest rated 300 series (z390) motherboard that NewEgg has sold, but even then only 65% gave it a 5 egg (and this is one of the better boards?!) - It came from the far east and was packed well - great communication with the seller before we processed the RMA - Also some added items that were not listed on NewEgg were included (spare nvme screw and a 90 degree USB 3.0 adapter)...see CONS for missing items - While the RMA was being processed, I decided to create a MSI support ticket in case the seller thought I did not do everything that I could. MSI Tech Support did NOT disappoint, I have always had great support when I needed it (and I do not need it much). They also concluded the nvme's cards are "plug-n-play", they should show up immediately. For kicks I decided to throw the second nvme in the m.2-2 slot and then see if I could set up RAID. Sadly the m.2-1 was still dead, but the m.2-2 showed up in bios, but as most people know, that location goes through the chipset and is slower.

Cons: - well let's start off with the why it is going back: The primary m.2 slot, appears to be dead. Bios did not show the drive present and I played around with all the known quick fixes in bios changing this and that setting. Even spent 2 days on forums and Youtube seeing if I missed something, (I did not want to send it back because it took so long to get the first one). - A couple "trivial" items that would not affect my rating if these were the only things - So I received some nice extras (see Pros), but the driver media was missing, the SLI bridge missing, and a miscellaneous MSI item. None of which I needed for the build; my point is "attention to detail". This mobo is just shy of 400 dollars and we are now up to 700 series chipsets...so this is a pretty pricey 390 mobo in my opinion

Overall Review: this would have been a 5 egg rating if the m.2-1 slot was functional. As I said the extra stuff they thru in out-weighed the missing items and also I do not even use the drive media that comes with, I just go right to the websites. The frustrating part there is no real manufacturer that stands above the rest when it comes to the 300 series and the only reason I went back in technology to to build an older inexpensive custom build to target the consumer base that can't afford these new mobos and cpu's. During this research for this build, even the Godlike board has even lower ratings than this one. You would think with a premium price, comes premium quality. So now that it is 2023 and this rating is probably the most recent in over a year, anyone reading this can decide what they would have rated it at. But sales for this, the 400 and 500 will just keep going down. I would probably not go this far back in technology again to make a less expensive PC. I probably should have found a good 500 series chipset. MSI Support: If you are reading this, I only need one thing from MSI, please tell me the very best...rock solid intel chipset/motherboard you ever manufactured in recent years. I am still staying away from 700 serious until their is more reviews out there and the bugs get worked out. . Thank you

Great little device

Noctua NA-FC1, 4-Pin PWM Fan Controller (Black)
Noctua NA-FC1, 4-Pin PWM Fan Controller (Black)

Pros: variable speed is exactly what every liquid cooling builder should have. I had some PromoChill liquid that was foaming up the system really bad. Mostly because the pump was at full speed. So on initial fill I had this item control the pump speed and no foaming on the second refill

Cons: None

Overall Review: Great little device to have in your computer tools kit

Great well built device...

This is my first devise of this kind, very well made of aluminum vs most are plastic. However every time I plug it into my two ports on my B650 AsRock Mobo, I get a pop up saying the device may not work probably. I still need to research this topic with AsRock and Sabrent. But I was impressed with the latching mechanism and the weight of it. Just can't use it yet...could be a driver issue

M.2-1 slot not displayed on bios

Unfortunately everyone I did a very detailed review of this yesterday and it is not posted and I am not going through it again; so hopefully Newegg will get that review posted...it will be listed as 'alaskanicelander'. So the mobo came from China, so I was dealing with international shipping (not a fan), this board at the time of purchase was the highest rated 300 chipset (390) motherboard. Upon assembly, the m.2-1 slot did not show in bios, however the m.2-2 slot did; but as everyone knows, that location goes through the chipset lane and the -1 location is directly to the cpu. So I spent the entire weekend looking at every forum and youtube for anything new that i did not try already...there were a couple new ideas, but none worked and so it was RMA'd this morning. Now i need to pick out another z390. Any for anyone reading thinking what is this guy doing building a 300 series PC, well it was an experiment to expand the customer base for those who can afford a 600 or 700 series intel PC (or the AMD equivalent). I was not building PC's for a while back when the 300 series came out and to go back now and see absolutely no manufacturer walking away from the competition is rather disappointing. Even MSI Godlike and the high-end Gigabyte boards got raked over the coals by consumers. So after this review i need to find the best mobo out there to use up this i9-9900k cpu. MSI support: if you read this, all i want from MSI is for someone in the company to tell me what is the best model z390 board that tech support believes is the best and the least issues. I have my own newly build z390 A Pro that i was going to sell very cheap but it has it's quirks and do not want to pass them along to a customer.

Nice Cable Extension

They are nice cables, nice sleeving and packaged well. one recommendation is if Noctua could rate the sleeving if it could be routed near the VRM's or other heat generating components to make sure they could stand up to some potential cable routing issues
