Great ATX option for VMWare system

Pros: Standard ATX Case, standard ATX power supply, all standard PC class devices - a much less expensive and far more easily implemented XEON 5500 series solution for a one-off than the typical rackmount case & power supply required in the past. Has been rock solid so far as a VMWare ESXi platform.
Cons: As has been mentioned, spacing is very tight. Non-Intel thermal solutions pretty much WILL NOT FIT!
Overall Review: The best CPU cooler for use with this board (by far and away) when used with the 5500 series Xeons seems to be the better of the Intel 5500 series coolers - the STS100C referenced in the Intel support document below. http://www.intel.com/support/processors/xeon5k/sb/CS-030328.htm It fit's beautifully on the board (even with 2 CPU's) is near silent and runs quite cool even under load.
Aargh! Never again!

Pros: None really...
Cons: Heavy, awkward to work with, and standoffs are NOT ADJUSTABLE AT ALL.
Overall Review: Motherboard standoffs are riveted to floor of case. If your motherboard (for example, the ASUS Z9PA-U8) doesn't permit a stand-off where they have provided one, you are left either punching the riveted standoff out or potentially trying to insulate the standoff to prevent shorting out the motherboard while hoping that it doesn't apply pressure somewhere that it shouldn't. Miserable design.
Extremely satisfied.

Pros: - silent operation - great array of accessible ports in the front - clean looking due to cable routing and shroud options. - extremely configurable and reconfigurable - very classy looking
Cons: (Due to the flexibility) was more complicated to assemble than most Expensive (but well worth the extra cost)
Overall Review: If you are looking for a great looking case with dozens (if not hundreds) of configuration options that is solid, and near silent you can't get better than this. Be prepared to spend a little more time in assembly, as it has so many options and can be assembled/disassembled in so many ways that you will need to spend some time figuring out how to disassemble/re-assemble it (something you don't usually have to focus on in a cheaper case that has few if any options for reconfiguration._
Works well with no issues noted

Overall Review: Overall, seems to work well. Was worried that I'd see artifacting due to the manufacturer's OC as I have in the past with some nVidia based cards, but so far, nothing. I'm quite satisfied.
Very disappointing.

Pros: Fast, Blur free display (paired with GTX 2080) No noticeable variation in display brightness/contrast at corners or middle of edges as is "often" the case.
Cons: Overbright - can't be properly color calibrated Wide array of complicated menu choices that still don't permit full control of brightness, contrast, and saturation ranges. (Very!) expensive for a monitor that can't be tuned/calibrated correctly
Overall Review: Very disappointed with the monitor quality. The monitor screen is so over bright that you cannot tune for proper color/brightness calibration using the monitor's OSD controls, leaving images (and games) looking at best somewhat washed out and overbright as there is no setting that actually provides any real contrast between the brightest 20% or so of the image displayed, and even at the lowest brightness and contrast settings blacks are more grey than black and there is too much contrast at the low end, and not enough at the high end of the brightness scale. The GameVisual menu is "one button easy" but the choices on it seem arbitrary with respect to the "game mode" choices - and the fact that making a choice there limits or eliminates the ability to change normal controls elsewhere is baffling and counter intuitive (example, Select Racing Mode, and you cannot change the color saturation - select Scenery, and you can't choose Gamma...) Fortunately, if you select sRGB mode and then use the video cards gamma, contrast, saturation, and brightness controls you can get "something close" to a proper color calibration, although at best there is still too limited contrast at the brightest levels. And while the monitor is overbright and poorly color calibrated, it is at least evenly overbright and poorly calibrated, without detectable variability where some parts of the screen are more so than others. All in all, though, a disappointment. I suppose if you want a monitor that gives you a quick one button selection of various levels of overdriven brightness so that you can easily switch between a setting that lets you scour the darkest corner of an RPS without having to manually overtune brightness and gamma and then easily switch back to something that works (if not exactly well) in an outdoor scene, it is a reasonable choice. And it is fast and blur free. But if you care about color quality it's not an ideal choice in any way, and if you do, you are going to need a video card that provides the ability to do the tuning that the monitor itself lacks.
Caveat Emptor

Pros: Seems solid, and well built
Cons: flawed manufacturing no tech support response to date
Overall Review: At first glance this appears to be a great case. Rugged, with a well designed door mechanism and a quality lock. But both of the units that I received were manufactured with a flaw, which is that the posts on the standoffs provided with the case are enough smaller than the pre-drilled holes in the motherboard mounting plate that the threads on the post do not engage the threads in the predrilled holes. This means that you cannot secure the motherboard into the case. Nor do any of the hundreds of standoffs I have left over from hundreds of system builds over the years fit - the few I have that would fit the pre-drilled holes are all half again taller than the correct ones. Either the pre-drilled holes were incorrectly tapped to a too-large thread, or the standoffs shipped with the case have a post that is smaller than anticipated when the plates were pre-drilled. I can understand a glitch happening- but the reason I'm posting this review without being able to fully use the product now is that I'm getting no response from IStarUSA. I called iStarUSA shortly after the product arrived last Thursday, have called a number of times since and the tech support line is never answered. A voicemail left on Thursday has yet to be returned. I've emailed them today. I can't recommend this product unless it can actually be used, which in the state both were shipped to me, it can't be. (Unless you don't mind your motherboard being "barely" attached inside the case.)
