Amazingly Clear

Pros: This monitor is large, bright and very easy on the eye, probably because of its very fast response time of 2 ms. HL2 and F.E.A.R. run flawlessly on it in 1680x1050, without a hint of flicker or ghosting. A beautiful beautiful piece of electronics.
Cons: The base connects to the monitor through a somewhat flimsy plastic bulb to grommet assembly, making the monitor a little wobblier than most. If you don't smack your computer table or beat your keyboard when you type it won't be an issue, which is why I have taken no stars off for it ;)
Overall Review: The 8000:1 contrast ratio means colors appear very vibrant on this screen, not washed-out at all. This is an upgrade from a Samsung 941BW Black 19" 4ms and looks a lot nicer, as well as having a nice large power switch and clearly-labeled buttons. All in all, this really is a fantastic monitor especially for the price I paid for it on Newegg.
Good cooler, mediocre fan

Pros: Sound heat sink design, keeps my Core i5 650 at between 30° and 40°C idle, has yet to top 61°C under full load. In this respect this CPU cooler does its job very well.
Cons: The fan provided with this heat sink is of poor quality, and vibrates the entire case and computer desk in spite of my having tightened every screw holding this assembly to the motherboard as well as the motherboard screws themselves. At certain speeds the fan makes a terrible rattling noise as well. I take pride in my build and this level of noise and vibration from a fan is just not acceptable.
Overall Review: I received one of these coolers with no machining on one of the nuts that holds the backboard to the motherboard. The one I am reviewing now is the second one I have worked with. In characteristic Newegg fashion, the RMA was trouble free and shipping was very fast.
Nice replacement for old laptop hard drive

Pros: An inexpensive replacement HDD for an old HP Pavilion DV6500 laptop. Windows 7 installed in record time (under 10 minutes) on the device, even in spite of its having only a Core2 Duo Mobile processor. Boot times are under 10 seconds with this thing from dead stop to Win7 login. Unlike some reviewers here I had no trouble at all getting Win7 to install on this drive once I had changed the boot order in the BIOS.
Cons: For what I'm using it for, none so far :D
Overall Review: This drive is for use in a laptop that is used mostly by my three-year old son to watch streaming videos. Thus far it has performed admirably. Will post another review in a few months once I've had a chance to use this drive some more.
Roomy and well-machined

Pros: This case has ample room for everything you need to put in it, and every part is so well-machined that my then-1-year-old son clambered around inside the case before I put the system in it without even snagging his clothes on anything. All parts are well-made and fit each other snugly. Built my rig nearly without using any tools other than a Philips screwdriver and a pair of pliers. The blue LED light in the front fan is elegant without being over the top. The power and reset switches are on top, making it unlikely my sons will inadvertently power the system down.
Cons: The front face of the case is easy enough to remove that my kids knock it off by accident every so often. Not enough of a con to merit removing an egg.
Overall Review: This is the best case I've ever had the pleasure of building a PC in, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a solid case without unnecessary "bling". I just ordered a Socket 1155 ASUS Sabertooth MOBO and a Core i7-3770K to replace the ASUS P7P55D and Core i5-650 that have inhabited this case for over two years. The new CPU and mobo should do this beautiful and practical case justice.
Outstanding value for the money

Pros: This machine chews through anything I have thrown at it so far, including Spore, From Dust, Mass Effect 3 and Orion: Dino Beatdown all at maximum settings. The aluminum handrest stays surprisingly cold even when the processor and GPU are running full-bore, precisely as advertised on the sticker. LED backlit display is nice and bright. Runs nice and quiet. Very simple and elegant lines on the build itself, and the build feels good and solid to the touch. Zero to Windows login in under 8 seconds.
Cons: The power connector is in an odd spot, halfway down the side right next to the heat vent, so the cord can heat up after running for a while; would have been better placed in one of the corners or in the back of the unit. The ethernet interface is also in an odd spot, halfway down the side opposite the power supply and heat vent, but I honestly haven't even used it yet. Also, the power switch is inexplicably made of a chintzy metallic-colored plastic, making it the only piece on this build that looks low-quality. Built-in speakers don't get very loud but this is easily remedied with a pair of headphones.
Overall Review: The cons for this machine did not merit taking off an egg from the overall rating. Especially for the price this machine delivers lightning-fast performance and outstanding graphics, making it suitable both for coursework and for 3D gaming, both of which I use this machine for. Also runs streaming videos like a champ. Mine idles between 48° and 50°C, has briefly gotten up to 84°C during a game of ME3 but mostly runs in the 70s C during gaming. TJ Max is 100°C so this is still well within operating limits. My desktop PC has an ASUS motherboard and monitor, and I am very pleased with all of my ASUS purchases thus far.
Superb monitor, especially for the price

Pros: Very crisp and clear, and most of all BRIGHT! Also, looks great with my all-black system. No dead pixels, worked like a charm right out of the box. All of the switches are on the bottom edge of the monitor, so they don't mar the symmetry of the case, and are much less prone to being pushed accidentally. Added bonus: the whole power switch glows blue while in operation, amber while in standby.
Cons: I understand the speakers on this number are nothing to write home about, but since I never intended to use them, didn't think that merited taking an egg off my rating.
Overall Review: Had to tweak the color temperature settings quite a bit to get this to look good, but basically once I set it to 9500K (I think it's "Cool" on this one) it looked fabulous. Running on an XFX Radeon HD5770 in Gaming Mode (one of the five presets) with color temperature set to "Cool". I'm truly impressed with how well this thing works. And as always, kudos to Newegg for their lightning-fast service (ordered this on a Wednesday morning, had it on Thursday afternoon even with the free shipping). There's something to be said for living just 150 miles from Edison, NJ!
Satisfied with both seller and product
I purchased a Linksys E1500 from Quantum-Wireless this month, with the free shipping option. Even though the Northeast got hit by two snowstorms in a row during the time the package was in transit, it still arrived in a week. Packaging was solid and professional, and the router works great. No complaints.
