Pros: - Quiet
- Plays everything I've thrown at it from the most recent AAA titles to older titles at maximum settings.
Cons: - It's very large, but fit my mid-sized case with some room to spare.
- Still expensive, but you get what you pay for.
Overall Review: I readily recommend the GeForce GTX 970 4G LE without hesitation. It's a GPU of great quality and backed by MSI's tremendous expertise. I purchased this in November 2015 and 4 months later I have yet to experience one hiccup with it or a technological drawback beyond a few issues that were wholly due to NVIDIA drivers which were minimal and to be expected. I have been able to play virtually every single game I've tried with it at max settings and 1080p resolution and have only dipped below 40 FPS on a literal handful of games that have had some optimization issues (Just Cause 3) of their own. Newer titles like Black Ops 3 and Star Wars Battlefront have sung and NVIDIA technology like DSR has helped this card exceed even my own expectations. I am running an FX-8350 for a CPU and I can only imagine how this is on better CPUs. I am seriously considering further upgrades and purchasing another for SLI. I am beyond happy with this card and the step up from an R9 270 (my previous card) was well worth it. I am hopeful that I am future proof for a couple of years before I consider my next GPU. Well done, MSI.
