Excellent overall

ASUS GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 768MB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Graphics Card ENGTX460 DirectCU TOP/2DI/768MD5
ASUS GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 768MB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Graphics Card ENGTX460 DirectCU TOP/2DI/768MD5

Pros: + Idle wattage: it's very very power saving in idle most, just about 20W. My system with an x4 620@3,25 only consumes 90W with this card at idle. + overclocks well to ([email protected]//2178 mem) using MSI afterburner. Although this is not great, several other 768s can get this far without voltage boost. It's still very good to achieve over 39% overclocks compare to a regular 768 card doing 625. The memory also overclocks well, 20% more than stock's 1800 mem. With this overclock, this card is at or better than the HD 5850 performance. Very nice. + the HSF is top notch, even after clocking running Kombuster brings it to about 64C which is incredible. I'd say this cooler is about 15C better than a reference design.

Cons: + uses massive amounts of wattage when overclocked. After some calculation this card is using about 200-210W after overclocking at max load using Kombuster//Crysis burn. It was surprising to me that at stock it's probably only 130-140W. Still the added performance is worth it. + You need a high ventilation case because the HSF dumps all the heat _into_ the case instead of exhaust to the back, I use a haf 932 and placed a 92mm fan right behind the card, but I can imaging people who overclock and has poor case ventilation will have heat problems. + noise, at 50% fan, it's audible at night when it's pitch quiet outside, but when I put on headphones it's no bother.

Overall Review: I gone from a HD 4850@700/1200 to this card@869//2178. I must say it's running anywhere from 35%-75% faster in various games I tested, 3d vantage has it doubling the score of 4850 but that's synthetic benchmark and doesn't mean much. The best thing is DX11 for me, I can now play Lost Planet 2 and few other games in DX11 mode w/ some excellent eye candy over DX9 mode. The added speed also allow me to turn up AA from my usual 2x-4x to 8x or 16x, very nice visual improvement in games. + Overall, a great upgrade, the included free game I don't play.

Very satisfied with the CPU

AMD Ryzen 5 1st Gen - RYZEN 5 1600 Summit Ridge (Zen) 6-Core 3.2 GHz (3.6 GHz Turbo) Socket AM4 65W YD1600BBAEBOX Desktop Processor
AMD Ryzen 5 1st Gen - RYZEN 5 1600 Summit Ridge (Zen) 6-Core 3.2 GHz (3.6 GHz Turbo) Socket AM4 65W YD1600BBAEBOX Desktop Processor

Pros: + 12T/6C at a reasonable price + a mind bending oc to 3,[email protected], 4hr P95, 2hr Linpack stable. Few hours of Overwatch gaming. no issues. Still can't believe it actually ran 3,8 at just 1.2v. + good performance achieved about 1250 on Cinebench r15 + the included heatsink is not too bad, when fully loaded it ran to about 61C max in my CM Haf 932 case. Waiting for my noctua AM4 adapter to put on DH-14 should lower the temp another notch. + coming from 2500k@4,2Ghz, this feels much more stable when multitasking. example, I ran P95, overwatch, youtube video, web browser at the same time, it actually handled that much work load. Pretty amazing it can do that. + must say AMD achieved an incredible feat coming from Bulldozer architecture. Basically +75% on performance while lowered power consumption by 1/2.

Cons: - I still think Intel 8600k@5Ghz is slightly better bargain at about $260, 1600 should be set around $180-200 to be competitive. But AMD definitely deserve my money this time around. If not for ryzen, Intel would never release 8xxx series with 50% more cores. - The motherboard support slightly weaker for memory, my DDR4-3000 can go up to 2800 only.

Overall Review: + hoping AMD will keep the promise and support AM4 until 2019-2020.

Good balance between feature and price [This review for ASRock review rebate program]

ASRock Fatal1ty X370 GAMING X AM4 AMD Promontory X370 ATX AMD Motherboard
ASRock Fatal1ty X370 GAMING X AM4 AMD Promontory X370 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: + design and layout is well thought out plus plenty of fan headers + the BIOS is also very clean, no fancy graphics, just clear and accessible GUI + 2x M.2 is excellent + the Realtech 1220 integrated sound on my Seinheiser headphone is really a step up from my old motherboard's R892, have a wireless headphone via Bluetooth, been finding myself switching back to the wired headphone for music because it really sounds incredible with the 1220 running the headphones. + love the side facing SATA6 ports, makes the wiring very clean + the included HB bridge definitely saves some money ($15-20) + overclocking Ryzen 5 1600 is also easy, running it at 3,[email protected], yes just 1.2v, the motherboard ups it slightly to 1.23 or so even if 1.2 is the setting. + chipset headsinks are well designed + colored LED lights are fun to have and great to show off the rig + easy update on the BIOS, upgraded from 1.0.0 to 3.2.0 and everything runs smooth and peachy + box well packaged, got SATA cables, HB-SLI-bridge etc, nothing fancy but enough to get going + build quality is top notch

Cons: - no documentation on the LED code, not sure what they mean, was hoping can use it as diagnostics - can only run my DDR4-3000 Kit @ 2800. This I recon is fault of X370 chipset not the motherboard maker. - board bends slightly but after screwing in, no issue at all

Overall Review: - this is my first Asrock, been buying Gigabyte and MSI, must say, this is quite a nice overall package, impressive quality. If the warranty can be extended to 4-5 years would be cherry on the top for me.

Perfecto

Acer 24" 60Hz VA VA Panel LCD Monitor 6 ms D-Sub, DVI, HDMI G7 Series G247HL bid

Pros: beautiful color, bright, great viewing angel compare to my old TN, no bezel at all. simply perfect, good price at 120/screen. no dead pixel. HDMI input is just great, make things lot easier to connect. also the added sound output jack is a plus.

Cons: stand cannot be adjusted higher, so you need a few books to raise it's height. but no biggie.

Overall Review: just a wonderful screen, it's big and beautiful, exactly what I was looking for and some.

beautiful display

BenQ GL2460HM 24" Full HD 1920 x 1080 60Hz VGA DVI HDMI Eye-Care Technology Built-in Speakers LCD LED Gaming Monitor
BenQ GL2460HM 24" Full HD 1920 x 1080 60Hz VGA DVI HDMI Eye-Care Technology Built-in Speakers LCD LED Gaming Monitor

Pros: great display, replaced an old 19" the result is night and day. this monitor at factory setting also adds more saturation to colors which makes pictures of fruits/nature etc quite beautiful. However with that said, the saturation is slightly (5-10%) too heavy. it's huge, 24" makes watching movies/TV shows awesome! love the status light on the side instead of front. has HDMI which is a plus.

Cons: the saturation is slightly (5-10%) too heavy. very bright had to tone down the brightness to about 15% from 50% to be able to read. has a slight ghost shadow around letters in a grey background especially. vertical refresh is bit low at 60Hz, i'd prefer 75hz.

Overall Review: I would recommend this to anyone looking for a 24" on a budget. love the display. overall very satisfied. and Newegg is amamzing ordered on monday, got it on tuesday.
