Great
Pros: Very powerful card. Price tag is better the perfect. 55nm, low power consumption
Cons: Gets hot. Mine seems to top out at 88C. Get different cooling for OC. 256mb, not a huge con.
Overall Review: The card has the same holes as the X1950 PCIe series - coolers that fit a x1950 will fit this - just watch out for capacitors. Drivers on the CD are BETA (work just fine), 7.10 from ATi site wont work. Use the drivers on the CD! wait for 7.11
Follow-up
Pros: great card, runs anything out maxed out @ or below 1280x1024 R6:V, Bioshock, etc.
Cons: HOT HOT HOT! as in my previous review, idles @ 48*C to 54*C GETS UP TO 87*C+ under load. Not enough cooling AT ALL!
Overall Review: Bought a good PCI fan, exhausts air out the back @ 42cfm A must have with this card!!!
Solid card
Pros: A very nice improvement over my aging AMD 5850. Stays very cool and has nice OC software from MSI (afterburner). A great performer for the price.
Cons: None yet.
Overall Review: This is the first Nvidia based card i've purchased since my old GeForce 2. I've never needed the minor performance difference between ATi/AMD and Nvidia, so I went with the best bang for the buck. This MSI 660 seemed to fit the bill vs. AMD. No regrets, it's a solid card. If you're torn between 660 & 660ti and on a budget, get this 660. It can OC well to compete with 660ti in almost all situations.
not bad at all
Pros: Good quality picture with sturdy framework.
Cons: I bought the 27" one, wanted to get the 40" but it was pricey. Which brings me to the con: too expensive. It's nice, but not worth the $68.
Overall Review: If it was a little cheaper, I'd give it 5 eggs. Heck, a little cheaper and I'd gotten the size of wanted. But if price is no object to you, go for it.
Bad experience
Pros: The controller itself is the same as what comes with the console, with the exception of the wireless receiver. Pretty good on battery life.
Cons: Wireless receiver died after several months. The controller still came on, but windows wouldn't detect the receiver at all.
Overall Review: I did not buy mine from newegg, it was from a local retail location. The seperate cable for xbox - to charge the unit and use it - does not work for PC. Don't waste your money getting it if your wireless receiver dies.
: (
Pros: Lots of nice features at a good price.
Cons: After a few weeks, the system started having a variety of issues. Bought a new PSU, same issue. Tried seperate hard drive, couldnt get anything to install anymore. Tried a dedicated video card, no dice. Had to replace motherboard, everything is fine now.
Overall Review: I have Biostar P45 in my main system with a Q9550 @ 3.7 - its a great board. Based on the number of positive & negative reviews for this board, it seems kinda hit or miss. More hit it seems, but you could get a dud. This hasn't spoiled the Biostar name for me, but it is disappointing.
