Good for the money

EAGLE Consus ET-CSWSINASU2-BK NAS 3.5" SATA & IDE to USB 2.0 & Ethernet 10/100 RJ45 External Enclosure
EAGLE Consus ET-CSWSINASU2-BK NAS 3.5" SATA & IDE to USB 2.0 & Ethernet 10/100 RJ45 External Enclosure

Pros: The unit implements Samba and FTP servers; none of this AoE stuff. The instructions actually have some meaning when putting the unit together. I use this device with XBMC to stream content to my entertainment system. I've installed a 1TB Maxtor, and it works fine.

Cons: Limited user options/controls when implementing folder management. The transfer rate is right below 5MB/s on my setup. This wouldn't be so bad if I weren't trying to fill a 1TB drive at these speeds.

Overall Review: Honestly, for the money this is a great deal. If you want professional performance, then this is NOT the unit for you. If you want to implement a simple NAS for your network, then I would definitely consider this (especially if you don't want to "break the bank").

Most Critical Review

Almost a Great Product

Corsair Force Series 3 2.5" 180GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CSSD-F180GB3-BK
Corsair Force Series 3 2.5" 180GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CSSD-F180GB3-BK

Pros: When it works it is very fast. Included bracket is nice

Cons: It doesn't work dependably. I searched Corsair's site and found the ongoing forums concerning the 120GB drives. They here two main forums: one for drives before a certain serial number and another for the "fixed" drives which are still having issues. The forum for the "fixed" drives is suppose to also cover any Force 3 drive with issues, but none of the steps to fix the 120GB issues do anything for my situation. I'm stuck with random freezes in Win7 even after updating Mobo BIOS, updating drive to firmware 1.3.3, installing with both AHCI and legacy IDE modes and moving the SATA cable around.

Overall Review: After reading other's comments on this drive both here at newegg and at the manufacture's site I'm left with the dilemna to wait for a manufacture fix (who knows how long that will be) or to return my drive within the 15 day return period. I've used Corsair before and have always liked their products. I know many people are having reliability issues with SSDs today, but it's disconcerting that they still seem to be having issues even after doing a first round of "fixes" on their 120GB models. I'd RMA my drive if I thought it would help, but everything I've read on their site leads me to believe I'd only end up with a drive which could no longer be returned for a refund and still wouldn't work.

Good, but not perfect

ASUS Transformer Book T300CHI-F1-DB 2-in-1 Ultrabook Intel Core M 5Y10 (0.80GHz) 4GB Memory 128GB SSD 12.5" Touchscreen 2-in-1 Windows 8.1 64-Bit
ASUS Transformer Book T300CHI-F1-DB 2-in-1 Ultrabook Intel Core M 5Y10 (0.80GHz) 4GB Memory 128GB SSD 12.5" Touchscreen 2-in-1 Windows 8.1 64-Bit

Pros: Here are what I considered pros: 1. Very light. It is thinner than a Macbook Air with the keyboard 2. Decent performance. The Core M processor holds up well to casual web browsing, email, word documents, One Note use, etc. 3. Nice screen if you aren't doing editing that requires true RGB color. The brightness is better than many of the competitors 4. The screen can detach from the keyboard. This is absolutely awesome! 5. The ability to use the pen, though I haven't personally used this yet. 6. Windows 10 Upgrade ready 7. The case quality. The covers feel very sturdy 8. The feel of the keyboard keys. I like very short throw keys (small movement) with positive tactile feedback to indicate when the key has been pressed. This keyboard provides an amazing typing experience for people who like this. I also have large hands and find the keyboard feels like a standard keyboard. I don't feel as if my fingers are crowded to type.

Cons: Here are some Cons: 1. The volume rocker switch rarely registers the volume up. 2. The screen will often miss the first touch if I haven't been using the touch screen function. 3. The bluetooth keyboard doesn't connect quickly. I find it's best to turn on the keyboard and start pressing a couple keys before the device is ready to log in to more quickly force it to establish a bluetooth connection. 4. My biggest complaint: the screen hinge. Asus did an amazing job using the magnets to hold the screen in place. It has a solid connection and I've never felt as if the screen might accidentally fall off. HOWEVER, the hinge that is attached permanently to the keyboard has two tabs which stick up and insert into the underside of the tablet. These tabs have an amazingly sloppy fit into the screen. This means that even though the screen hinge may be nicely snug, the screen itself will wobble significantly on this tab-in-hole interface. Once again, this isn't an issue of the screen falling off; the magnets hold it on the tabs quite well. This is just an annoying wobble that seems like an oversight given how well designed the rest of this tablet / laptop is designed.

Overall Review: I purchased mine through another big online reseller, only because I had some significant gift cards with them. If it weren't for those gift cards, I would have purchased through newegg. For the price I paid after applying gift cards, I'm happy enough with it. However, I would not have been happy paying full price given the intermittent volume rocker switch, screen wobble and slow bluetooth keyboard connectivity. However, these are my personal preferences. As with any review, your mileage may vary with personal use.

Got What I Wanted :)

G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-17000CL11Q-16GBZL
G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-17000CL11Q-16GBZL

Pros: This memory is fast and performs wonderfully at its rated clock speed. WEI of 7.9 in Windows 7 64 bit. Memtest 86 (version 4.0a) showed throughput of more than 25,000 MB/s. I got these modules from Newegg on sale and don't regret it. My three day shipping took only two days.

Cons: None that I've seen.

Overall Review: I used all four of these in an ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 motherboard. By default the memory was clocked at 1600 (function of the motherboard) but were recognized as being 2133 modules. One simple BIOS change and the memory was running at full speed. Depending on the layout of the motherboard's RAM slots, you may not have much room between sticks for cooling. I had no issue physically installing all four modules, but they are right up against each other. Even with this spacing, I've had no issues.

Newegg service good, but...

Acer P215HBbd Black 21.5" 5ms Full HD WideScreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 ACM 50,000:1 (1,000:1)
Acer P215HBbd Black 21.5" 5ms Full HD WideScreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 ACM 50,000:1 (1,000:1)

Pros: It is shiny and came in a pretty box.

Cons: It was dead on arrival.

Overall Review: This is my 3rd monitor purchase from an Acer company (1 previous BenQ, 1 previous Acer). This is the first I've had issues with. Now I'll have to contact Acer for a replacement. If their customer service is helpful in getting a timely replacement, I'll keep buying Acer products. If not, this will be my last Acer purchase.

Nice Monitor

HP 20" Active Matrix, TFT LCD HD Ready LCD Monitor 5 ms 1600 x 900 D-Sub, DVI-D 2010i

Pros: Resolution and size. This screen looks nice and has a decent resolution, assuming you don't need full 1920x1200.

Cons: The sticker. Seriously HP, what is up with that annoying sticker?

Overall Review: I finally gave upon the sticker and have learned to live with the glue residue on the top of the bezel.
