Nice board for the price
Pros: Booted, came alive! overclockable(read the con's though) dual PCI-Express x16 2.0 slots (SLI-ready) and a nice layout.
Cons: Not the most overclocking friendly board, once I figured it all out though I was able to get my Q6600 to 3.0 Ghz per core and its completely stable, not one crash yet.
Overall Review: Recieved a 4 star becuase of the non-overclocking friendly BIOS yet it runs nice now. I like the board, came with fan for heatsink (optional though) and the board ran everything without a hitch. Apevia MX-Pleasure Full ATX Case 500 Watt PSU Intel Core 2 Duo Quad Core Q6600 @ 3.0 Ghz 2 GB Kingston Hyper-X Extreme Memory at 1066 Mhz EVGA 9800 GT Superclocked Edition Asus P5N-D Nforce 750i Motherboard 150 GB HDD
Wouldnt buy
Pros: Quality unit, except the throttle quadrant.
Cons: The elevator axis isnt smooth. Its jumpy making any accurate sim hard to play, especially landing.
Overall Review: I would pass on this, find something else higher quality. The elevator axis makes this thing unusable and annoying.
Solid Card
Pros: Nicely packaged, FTW+, I like the looks of the card. Installation was a breeze, this card replaced my 670 FTW+. Computer booted, installed new drivers and immediately, pushed the core and mem clocks up a little bit and ran Firestrike. My best score with my 670 was 6235. New score with this beast is 10550 with a very conservative overclock. For those who say its not worth upgrading from a 670 are wrong. Im impressed, will be buying another for SLI. Also. no coil whine like people say the 970's are famous for, but I am running a Corsair HX750 power supply. Card runs Far Cry 4 at 5960x1080 surround maxed out at 45fps, over 70 fps at 1080p. With my GTX 670 I would get about 35fps at 1080p.
Cons: Fan can be a little loud while pushing the card hard, but it doesnt bother me, under full load and overclock, card runs 60 degrees and around 75% fan usage to stay cool.
Overall Review: My system: Intel 3770K at 4.7GHz EVGA GTX 970 FTW+ 8GB Gskill Sniper DDR3 Asus Z77 Sabertooth Corsair HX 750 Kingston HyperX 128GB SSD 600GB WD Velociraptor
It works
Pros: It works, it hasnt failed, nice modular setup, stable power, quiet
Cons: None.
Overall Review: Comes with nice bag, packaged nicely. Corsair quality as usual. Wouldnt hesitate to buy another.
Awesome board
Pros: Looks awesome, overclock a 3700k well, handles heat well, reliable, and very stable. Overclocking couldnt be easier. Wouldnt hesitate to buy another
Cons: Kind of a pain to install all the plastic pieces but it makes for a neater appearance and you only have to do it once.
It works
Pros: Very very fast for a conventional drive. I use as a storage drive. Hasnt failed or made any wierd noises yet. Price was right
Cons: A little noisy, but not nearly enough to be annoying
Overall Review: Good storage drive for a gaming rig. I use it paired with a 120gb ssd boot drive.
