Decent operating system
Pros: Installation was quick and easy. Very stable OS. The additional security features in Vista make it better than XP, and the user interface seems more intuitive and lets you do more things quicker. Plus, since it is part of the Windows family of operating systems, it can run most of the zillions of programs written using Microsoft's APIs.
Cons: Uses a bit more resources than previous Windows operating systems did and some programs still have compatibility issues.
Great price. Mobo compatibility problems.
Pros: Low price. If you are upgrading from a really old card and do not want to shell out much money at all, this is probably your best bet.
Cons: The mobo I plugged this into uses one of the VIA K8 chipsets which apparently has problems with this card. You have to find the right combination of old Nvidia drivers + VIA chipset drivers to get it to work when playing games. Google if you need more information. From what I can tell, more chipsets than just the K8 may have problems with this card, so beware. However, after getting drivers that worked, the card has been fine.
Overall Review: This card really isn't that bad. You should be able to use it for quite a few things. Even some new games (e.g. C&C3) should run on it (on very low graphics setting). But remember this card is definitely not even middle-of-the-line as far as modern cards go. But nonetheless, it is better than a 4 Ti4200 and it may be just what you need.
It works perfectly
Pros: It's an ethernet cable that works perfectly. What else can I say?
Cons: None found
Everything I could ask for
Pros: This Targus backpack is AWESOME! There is a huge amount of room in it. It fits my 17 inch Dell Inspiron e1705 perfectly. There's also room for my power adapter, mouse, various accessories, my college textbooks, binders, water bottle, TI-89 calculator, and pencils/pens (with a convenient place to hold them in front). After all that, there's still room left! It's also extremely sturdy. I was worried about the strap seams coming apart because of my jerking around so much weight, but they have held together perfectly. The handle is comfortable too. Targus really knows how to made a good backpack.
Cons: When fully loaded up, it weighs a ton, but what did you expect?
Nice, low cost speakers
Pros: You get a nice 2.1 system for a very low price. You can feel the bass. And unlike certain other speakers that I have seen, the volume control is conveniently placed on the right satellite speaker, and the wires are long enough to reach where ever you need them to reach.
Cons: The subwoofer is not quite as powerful as it is on another brand of low-cost speakers that I bought here on Newegg. Satellite speakers sometimes emit faint crackling sounds, perhaps the magnetic shielding isn't as good as it should be.
Awesome case!
Pros: Looks great without being too expensive. There's enough space to put all the usual stuff inside it. It has cool blue lights too! The thumb screws make it easy to open. Sturdily constructed.
Cons: You have to push the front cover at just the right spot to get it to click open. A little frustrating at first, but not a problem once you've got it figured out.
Overall Review: The thin, long blue light on the front cover flickers when the hard drive is being accessed. It is supposed to do that, and I think it's pretty cool. However, I can imagine some people being annoyed by the constant flickering.
Wrong item
I ordered a NH-U14S CPU cooler for TR4-SP3 socket CPUs. The seller sent a NH-U14S for AM4 sockets, which is a different cooler and isn't compatible with my processor. The only redeeming feature is that at least they use NewEgg to process RMAs, so the return and refund process is easy.
