Classic look, well designed
Pros: I bought this with the intention of moving my media server into something that wouldn't be an eyesore in the living room. Success! 4x 3.5" HDD bays plus 1 for optical meant I didn't have to sacrifice desired storage space for the sake of fitting it all in this case. Well packaged, was not damaged at all in shipping, which was a concern from other reviewers. USB ports (1x 2.0 & 1x 3.0) on the front panel with card reader all work very well. The power and HDD lights. illuminate, but was very happy they are not bright and distracting, so I can watch a movie in the dark without a problem. Very nice finish all around.
Cons: The HDD caddy that mounts on top took a little fussing to get perfectly. The metal bracket only fits a small footprint on the wooden supports, and only mounted with two small wood screws, so it looks like it might not hold well if ever moved without special care and attention. The disk drive did not line up very well with the opening door, so I used a small wedge to angle the entire bracket slightly for proper clearance (only off by 1/8th") so nothing major. "Engineering" a fix was a bit time consuming, but otherwise the whole design was well thought out by someone out there. -1 egg overall.
toilet paper transfers better...
Pros: it will keep folder structure
Cons: claims to transfer programs and registration to new computer. does not. for all of the programs that won't transfer, software metaphorically points the finger and says, "it's not my fault." don't waste your money or time.
