Excellent, Yet Myopic
Pros: Superior picture at close range. Auto or manual focus, digital zoom, pan, tilt (image shift when zoomed), color balance and exposure controls.
Cons: Myopic (near-sighted) camera. Cannot provide acceptable focus beyond 8-10 feet. Best focus under 4 ft.
Overall Review: I bought this camera strictly for the touted image quality. Unfortunately the camera is designed to provide crisp focus at very close range only. Ideal for chatting - but not for my intended use. Too bad they don't mention that in the specs. If the Cons aren't a problem for you, then give it 5 stars.
Excellent Case
Pros: Well Built, Good Looking, Many Pockets, Padded, Versatile, Padded Shoulder Strap, Fits 10" Netbooks - even Hannsbooks
Cons: None.
Overall Review: I own a Hannspree 10.1" netbook which measures 10.4"x8"x1.25". Most 10" netbook cases won't work with this netbook. The Cocoon Case fits my netbook perfectly. I can easily slip the netbook into and out of the case. There is plenty of extra storage to store a power adapter, mouse, or whatever else you could possibly want - or need to take along. One of the 'compartments' opens with a zipper running 3 sides of the case - so it can open wide and flat. The inner pockets could hold your ID, credit cards, and cash if you want. The Grid-It adds even more places to tuck your 'stuff'. I'm not sure if you really need it - but they point out the back can be used as a mouse pad. Last, the case has a little 'pass thru' spot to allow you to keep your mp3 player inside it's pocket while running the earphone or headphone cord outside. The point is that this case has more functionality built in than you can possibly need. The only thing this bag doesn't do is make shaved ice. ;
Works Fine
Pros: Upgraded Firmware, Easy setup, Quiet, Faster than my regular HD, Super price with the rebates.
Cons: Apparently slower than some other SSD's, but they were a LOT more expensive.
Overall Review: Mine came with the updated firmware. (Version number is on lower right side of label). I needed to separately purchase a caddy and connector because I installed it in the 2nd drive bay in my HP Pavillion dv7t-3300. Installation also required a quick visit to Win 7 Disk Management to get the disk recognized. Everything went smoothly. I'm using this as a second drive to speed up game play and provide extra drive space - not as the boot drive. Game definitely loads faster - and runs smoother. Plus - it's quiet. As long as the rebate comes back I'm a happy camper.
Great, Simple Wall Mount
Pros: Low profile - mounts close to the wall. Clean look. Simple install. Sturdy.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Use a level, measure twice, check your work, install. That's it. My install was especially easy because the wall was solid wood - so no special fasteners were needed. If you don't need tilt, pan or swivel, don't pay for it. Note: small tilt/pan adjustments may be accomplished using shims behind the wall mount.
Cool Device
Pros: Very Low Power Use - Long Life. Tracks more accurately than my Garmin Nuvi.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: I've paired this with a Nokia 770 using Maemo Mapper. Fun setup.
It Works!
Pros: Add an RS232 port to your PC without using up a PCI slot. Inexpensive!
Cons: None.
Overall Review: I just bought a new DELL Dimension E520 which has no legacy ports - only USB ports. I needed to connect it to my existing DAVIS wired weather station - using a serial (RS232) connection. I simply loaded the drivers, plugged in the cable - and used XP to reassign the port to COM2. It worked without even a reboot. Fantastic.
