Pros: This is the second RT-BE92 that I have installed in the past two weeks (April/May 2026). The first one is my main mesh network router, connected directly to the fiber network. The one I am reviewing is mesh networked about 75-100 feet away, by my livestock barn. The connection is GREAT! This WiFi-7 mesh network is supplemented by two other WiFi6 routers (RT-AX55). This router works very well! My connections are "near" instant! I can cover about 7 acres, without interruption and another several acres marginally, including remote areas with the mesh network that I have established.

Cons: 1) - The wall mount is "cheesy" at best. It's OK for inside. Mine is mounted outside under a roof awning (No rain, other than humidity). I bypassed the use of the mount with a 2X6 board, so the unit will not be dumped off the manfacturer mount on the ground by wind or other means. 2) - It would be great if ASUS would provide a way to connect a remote antenna to the unit and other units in their product line in order to enhance the range and propagation of the radio waves.

Overall Review: I would recommend this router as a main router for a house or as a part of a mesh network. My network is a RT-BE92 at the main mesh router, with a RT-AX58U in another part of the house, the second RT-BE92 by my barn (75-100 feet from the main node), a RT-AX55 further away from the house (120 feet from the main node), and another RT-AX55 in another direction (150 feet from the main node). I have working internet and WiFi (Phone) network access for 300-500 feet from any node, and it is all seamless as to the connections. As with any radio wave provided network, the connections may be GREAT on some days, OK on others, and no connection (Seldom), depending on the weather and radio propagation conditions.

Pros: The spring for the tightness in the socket is good. It will not bump loose on rough roads Good to have 4 charging ports. It has blue LEDs to show it's energized
