Pros: This antenna greatly improved signal strength and quality. Using the antenna that came with my Linksys PCI card, I was only getting 1-2 bars on XP's wireless zero configuration service. After attaching this antenna and spending a few minutes tweaking it's placement, the signal is holding steady at 4 bars (very good). I was quite delighted to encounter such an unexpected improvement!

Cons: The unit's base, while sturdy and well constructed, is fairly large, making it difficult to place discreetly.

Overall Review: The unit looks quite different from what is pictured on Newegg.com and other sites. Personally, I find this new form factor more aesthetically pleasing. I have a feeling that my results were atypical... one should reasonably expect an improvement of 1 bar.

Pros: Small, discreet, cheap.

Cons: When attached to wireless PCI card, I saw no noticeable improvement. When attached to router, signal strength actually dropped. The cable is also too short for any useful application.

Overall Review: Give this little antenna a try if you have some change to spare but don't expect miracles.
