Runs as described
Pros: Runs great no problems on an asus P5QL PRO even though the QVL did not have these listed.
Cons: Ram was not detected correctly and had to manually fix the problem. Mobo was set to auto detect ram speed. Windows vista did its little speed check for Aero and rated me at 5.4 with 4 gigs of this high speed ram. I thought it was odd so I went into bios and manually inputed the 1066 speed. Vista then ran the check again and came out with a 5.9. I am assuming the ram did not detect the speed properly.
Hard Drive Failure after 2 months
Pros: Very fast when it worked. Great cache size.
Cons: Failed to detect after 2 months of usage. Firmware update did not fix the problem because there was no drive to update. Buyer beware, all of my data was lost. You were warned.
Does not run at specified speed
Pros: Extremely stable at 800. Ran memtest for 3 nights in a row with no problems. (As it should be)
Cons: I have an Asus P5QL Pro mobo. Theoretically there should be no problems with this ram which *claims* to be running at 1066. My bios orginally detected the speed to be less than 800. I reconfigured the bios for 1066 and the memory would consistenly have read errors. I then set it to 800 and the memory is fine. I have tried different voltages at 1066 and i think i am making progress by also altering timings but its completely rediculous for OCZ to say that this ram is actually 1066 when in reality it is not. It *can* run at 1066 but it is completely misleading to advertise it at that speed when in reality it has problems with a good proportion of buyers at that setting. Ill grant OCZ the possibility that I have to manually tweak my mobo for the 1066 speed but for me to have to go in and tweak voltages and such is not right. If I wanted ram that ran at 800mhz I certainly would not have paid the price for 1066 advertised ram.
Great Case
Pros: You can tell the company put a lot of work into the design of this case. The "screwless" design works great and makes it feel much more professional. Lots of space and very sturdy feel to it.
Cons: Reset button requires a pen. Inadequate instructions caused me to break a small piece of the front cage. Oh well.
