The perfect monitor

ASUS ProArt Series PA246Q Black 24.1" 6ms P-IPS Height/Swivel/Pivot Adjustable LCD Monitor w/2 USB hub, Card Reader & Display port 400cd/m2 50000:1 DCR
ASUS ProArt Series PA246Q Black 24.1" 6ms P-IPS Height/Swivel/Pivot Adjustable LCD Monitor w/2 USB hub, Card Reader & Display port 400cd/m2 50000:1 DCR

Pros: - BRIGHT! This monitor is so bright you will have to turn down the brightness when you first set it up, by default it's set to 50 but I had to turn it down to 40 which is still extremely bright but what I prefer. Others have said to need to turn it down to 0! Now that's a bright monitor! -CCFL instead of LED Bad for the environment and may (not likely) burn out eventually but boy is it fantastic! SUPER bright whites and colors just POP! Also no bluish tint that sometimes is noticable with LED monitors. - Factory color calibrated This is absolutely the best image quality I've seen on... any display really, equal to a perfectly focused DLP projector in my opinion. You truly have to see the difference to judge. - Extremely adjustable Any direction, this monitor can do it all with a extremely sturdy stand. - 30 Bit Basically future proof monitor, 30 bit color isn't even natively supported by Windows yet. Although to my understanding you need to use a DisplayPort

Cons: - Bulky It is thick and puts out a lot of heat for a monitor but find a IPS screen for this price that isn't bulky, I don't mind the thickness at all though. - Antiglare coating Going from a monitor that had no coating at all on it to this you notice it a lot, but won't bug you too much just because you'll be so impressed with the image quality. I've gotten used to it now and in the end I think it is for the better because there is ZERO glare in sunlight. But over all a good coating, I've seen some pretty bad ones. - Ghosting Very VERY slight ghosting, barely even worth mentioning. Picture quality masks it 10 fold.

Overall Review: At night to other people it looks like you're staring into a spotlight. Asus's warranty is fantastic and free Asus VIP membership is a plus. No dead pixels either. To my knowledge there are not many P-IPS Monitors and none except this at this price range ($500-$999) 24" and 1920x1200 is in my opinion the perfect size and pixel density ratio. You will need to get a video card that has more VRAM though if you want to play games with it, high resolution sucks up VRAM like no tomorrow. Just buy it. Research into alternatives will just bring you back to here, trust me I went through that.

WORST MEDIA EVER

memorex 8.5GB 2.4X to 8X Write Speed DVD+R DL 25 Packs Spindle Disc Model 05712
memorex 8.5GB 2.4X to 8X Write Speed DVD+R DL 25 Packs Spindle Disc Model 05712

Pros: They make shiny coasters. If you bought this product for the extra DVD spindle then you'll be satisfied.

Cons: Absolutely has to be the worst Duel layer DVDs in existance. To get them to work i have to keep cycling through the WHOLE box to get one that works. On a bad day i have to go through all of them 3 or 4 times. This media is just down right bad. So save yourself some money and buy a different brand.

Overall Review: Ive checked to see if my dvd burner drive was the problem and it wasnt it still reads and burns these disks when i find a lucky good one, and burns and reads anything else so believe me it wasnt my drive.
