A step up

Turtle Beach TBS-2114 Earforce HPA2 5.1 Surround Sound Headset with Amplifier and Removable Microphone
Turtle Beach TBS-2114 Earforce HPA2 5.1 Surround Sound Headset with Amplifier and Removable Microphone

Pros: Compared to other similar products these are a bargain deal. The sound is absolutely fantastic and very full. Very filling bass and clear high and low frequencies. It is not as good as 5.1 speakers but its very close.

Cons: These are not as simple as plug and play and everything is peachy. They do need to be setup and balanced. Also depending on your computers noise level, as in if your Power Supply does not make clean currents it can run interference through the USB. Though this is not the Headset fault but rather do to low grade hardware or a poor wall outlet. Using a powerstrip with a filter or a BackUp battery with filter can clean this noise. Using a Power Supply with an 80% efficieny rating will also improve the noise over the current.

Overall Review: Using these with an Auzentech X-Fi Forte. Dials to 7 center, 4.5 surround, 4.5 front, 4 bass. Again these headsets do perform differently dependant on setup so take some time and fine tune your sound card and headset untill you find the sweet spot.

Good but older card

EVGA GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Graphics Card 512-P3-N871-AR
EVGA GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Graphics Card 512-P3-N871-AR

Pros: This card came out a little over a year ago. This predated the GTS200 line and is now refered to as the GTS 250 from Nvidia. It is an excellent card for what it is. Runs cool, overclocks very well, and is very stable. The EVGA offer of this card is very good, and it uses a heatpipe covered cooler to vent the hot air out of your case. Using this card with the latest Nvidia drivers will run any program at 1400x900 resolution without an issue. It also handles PhysX pretty well as a single card setup. Would be an excellent SLI candidate.

Cons: Like all modern Performance cards it takes up 2 slots and is long, please measure appropriately.

Overall Review: I am running this card on a P45 setup Asus board. I have been able to overclock it to 802 MHZ, 1985 Mhz DRAW, 1280 Mhz Ram (2560 Mem speed). I leave the fan around 65% and maintain temps less than 58'C at load (crysis, borderlands, X3TC, DA:O, BioShock, CoH) with a Min FPS of 28 during the most stressful frames and Max FPS of 178 during least stressful frames. Again this is technically last years Performance Card, now considered budget gamer. The GTS 250 is modelled after this card, and there is little difference between them (although I believe the GTX 9800+ is a little better and overclocks better :P )

Very good

XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler I5 775 AMD compatible
XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler I5 775 AMD compatible

Pros: Bought this cooler a while ago. Used it first on an Core 2 Duo E7200, OC to 3.48Ghz. Temps idled at 22'c and load 35'c, simply astounding, even for a 2 core C2D. Recently upgraded to a Q9550 e0 over clocked to 3.4ghz with voltage at 1.3 set on Asus P5Q SE/R. Using Arctic Silver 5 after burn in time temps range at idle: 26'c, 28'c, 33'c, 34'c for cores 0-3. I am using RealTemp to read the cores. At load using Prime95 on all 4 cores no cores go over 52'C. Very good tower cooler.

Cons: Did not buy with newegg. Cost has gone up since I bought mine. Fan is not as quiet as i would like ;) Far from noisy though.

Overall Review: While the push-pins are irritating, once you understand how they work they are effective. I have had no problems with them as of yet, even though a backplate would be easier to use.

Excellent

CORSAIR TX Series CMPSU-750TX 750 W ATX12V v2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Compatible with New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready
CORSAIR TX Series CMPSU-750TX 750 W ATX12V v2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Compatible with New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: The stability on this thing is exceptional. After 5 days of testing I did not have any other product maintain the same stability, temperature, and noise level as this product (in the 750W range category). 12v Rail at 60amps is almost rediculous but the performance it provides is absolutely fantastic.

Cons: The PSU has an in-take air circulation which can mess up some systems Case Designs. The Protective plate inside the box actually limits the airflow a little, but its breaking warranty to remove it so don't! Very small con.

Overall Review: Did not buy it on Newegg at the time found a better deal, now the Egg has a matching deal. Future proof for a single Video Card even with the Nehalem line. Combination with a good motherboard and Power Management will not be a concern.

update

Mushkin Enhanced XP 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 1150 (PC2 9200) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model 996656

Pros: Here is an update after some serious testing. 1200Mhz with 5-5-5-15 4-55 @ 2.1V. 10 passes memtest86+ no errors = Stable. Confirming how great this RAM is! 6 hours Prime95 Torture test instance 0 + 1 2 hours Nvidia Stability Test All Stable!

Cons: Only one set and Win xp32 rather than Pro 64.

Overall Review: Asus P5Q SE/R @ 2.85 Mhz, 300 Bus. 1200 Mhz 2x1Gig RAM 5-5-5-15 @ 2.1V Clock Twister = Lighter Performance = 5 This setup scores higher benchmark and stress test scores than a setup of 3.18Mhz CPU @ 333. 1066Mhz Memory with 5-5-5-15 timings. Noting that a proper setup is key to great performance.

Wonderful Card

EVGA 512-P3-N874-AR GeForce 9800 GTX+ Superclocked Edition 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card
EVGA 512-P3-N874-AR GeForce 9800 GTX+ Superclocked Edition 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card

Pros: Good affordable top-of-the-line card. Runs very well. I have yet to have a BSOD with the 178.13 drivers running on Win XP 32.

Cons: Its big? Not really a con for me because it easily fit into my CoolerMaster Elite Case.

Overall Review: It runs very cool at 100% fan rate. Auto maintains the fan at about 50C (which is average according to Evga). With the fan on 100% my Card Temps read 37-C. Its cooler than my processor! So no worries about heat with this thing, at least with me.
