Great if you're willing to format HD

Pros: Awesome price. I've been searching for a laptop for awhile and at this price, you usually get at most an Intel Celeron which is pure garbage. Now that I have XP installed, it starts up in under 25 seconds.
Cons: The integrated graphics are not great. It's better than the previous iteration Intel integrated graphics but you'll be sorely disappointed if you try to play anything beyond Half-Life or Far Cry on this machine. Fear runs at 15 fps at 1280 x 1024 which is surprisingly good. What do you expect for this price? The smart card reader cannot read some cards. I don't know why. Other SD cards worked fine.
Overall Review: I absolutely hate Vista. I installed XP Pro and it is running smooth as silk. Disabled a ton of useless XP services and now the machine starts up in 25 seconds. Do yourself a favor, if you're reinstalling XP, BEFORE you format your HD, follow these instructions on this link: It saved me a ton of time. (Read Post #8) http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=190581 My laptop didn't come with AHCI set up so my reinstall went much easier. Do what the guy suggests and make a backup CD with all your drivers. It'll make your setup so much easier than having to download off the Acer website.
Blends well, but well-used

Pros: I bought this blender as an upgrade over my usual $25 blenders bought from Walmart or Sears. The verdict? It is definitely a lot more powerful. The blade is dull (at least on mine) but very thick. Also, the design of the blade seems to allow better mixing even when the jar is 3/4 full. On my old blenders, the top layer of my mixture was usually not circulating while the bottom half was being pulverized; you would need to use a stirrer in order to get the entire concoction mixing. Consistency was also a lot better. My smoothie came out ultra-smooth with none of the fruit peel residual that I remains with my cheaper blender. Blueberry peel was disintegrated after going through 30 seconds of mixing. My old blender would usually take 3 minutes of mixing (including a lot of manual stirring and shaking of the jar). The construction seems to be heavy duty, particularly the motor. The base is made of hard ABS plastic and weighted down with two thick metal weights inside.
Cons: My biggest complaint is the condition the blender is sold in. This is not a very-well refurbished product. Rather, it seems like it was pulled off of Border's or Starbuck's store shelf, washed, test-run, re-packaged, and shipped. My jar was scratched and the sound enclosure was cracked. None of this affected operation however, but it is still unsightly to see spider cracks around the hinges, especially on a $200 machine. Also, the buttons are dirty, stickers are peeling and fading, and scratches are everywhere on the machine. These are well-used commercial machines. Do not expect these refurbishments to be store returns used for 1 day Additional issues: 1) Very Loud! Even with the sound enclosure. 2) Blade is dull. I'm not sure if this is by design or because of being worn down from use. 3) Plastic cover on jar is not designed to prevent spillage. If you fill jar with over 2/3 liquid, running the machine will cause the top to fall off and spill mixture. 4) User Manual us
Overall Review: Re-programming the machine is not difficult. However, the manual does not explain how to do it and the necessary codes to reprogram are not included in it. Go to: blendtec.com.br/Blendtec_Chart.pdf Final conclusion? It's an expensive blender. And it's commercial quality. If you don't mind visual defects and don't want to pay the $500 for a new Blendtec, then go for it. It runs well and is covered by a 1 year warranty. Just remember to wash and rinse the jar cleanly and thoroughly before use, preferably with bleach.
Incredible graphics

Pros: Played FC 1 and FC2. So far, this beats both, by a wide margin. 1) Amazing graphics on an average rig (q6600, 4850 x2 crossfire). 2) Storyline is great. 3) World is enormous - exploration is unlimited. You can really get diverted. I've spent 15 hours on the game and have barely cleared 3 maps (out of 16?). At this point in COD MW3, I had finished the game. 4) vehicles are a ton of fun to drive 5) biggest pro - sandbox flexibility 6) love the new system where you clear out enemy camps. However, the map gets pretty boring once you clear it out - no one to shoot at. The excitement is when you sneak into an uncharted map while enemies are everywhere. 7) Love the wildlife - the island is teeming with life 8) AI is pretty amazing. Enemies AND Animals try to flank you. 9) Love the skill trees and building up your character to be a badas. Great satisfaction when you chain together takedowns like Batman.
Cons: 1) Some missions are lame. - the one where you get a mission to intimidate a mother's daughter's abusive husband. You basically walk 20 feet, shoot at the guy's legs, come back, and done. Wow. 2) repetitive loot and relic finding. I hate that game developers try to get you to expand the gaming time by making you "collect them all. " It does force you to explore the entire world, however. And not just rush through the main missions. 3) not enough weapon types - would like to choose beyond 3 in each category (handgun, shotgun, rifle, etc) 4) Crafting syringes is kinda silly - especially since they don't give you such a great boost. I've ignored them mostly except for the invincible syringe.
Overall Review: DHL is absolutely awful. Please don't use them anymore Newegg. I used to get my packages from Newegg the next day, even with super saver shipping via UPS. DHL lost my package for 12 days. I finally got it after reporting it lost and reordering. Those 12 days were excruciating.
Very very buggy

Pros: It's sort of fun. Graphics are not cutting edge but ok. It's equivalent to Far Cry graphics. Of course, that game is about 5 years old at this point. Open world environment is cool.
Cons: Buggiest game I've ever bought and that's with the updated patches applied via Steam. Control scheme is horrible - keyboard bindings sometimes freeze and will not allow you to use certain keys. The backslash key stops your keyboard from responding!!! I can't count the number of times zombies got me because I kept mashing buttons to no effect. Then, there are times when your character will keep going forward with no key input as if on autopilot. When driving, there is only in-car view which means you will get stuck everywhere, especially if there are swarms of zombies nearby.
Overall Review: This game is 80% finished. I've played betas that were more polished. It's not better than LFD or LFD II by any means.
I karate kick it every day

Pros: Print quality is ok. Cheap.
Cons: It decides when it wants to print. I've installed and reinstalled the drivers at least 20x, including the new ones from Samsung's website. The wifi connection drops whenever it feels like it. (the printer is 5 feet away from my router) I send a print command and the machine does nothing. Then, 30 minutes later, out of the blue, the da*ned thing prints. What's more, the dumb piece of junk wastes my paper and toner printing out all the "error, failed to print" pages. This is the most frustrating piece of junk that I've had the displeasure of owning.
Overall Review: Samsung is really slipping back to its old ways. Between this and my Samsung Gravity T phone and its horrid touchscreen, I'm quickly losing confidence in their stuff. When the toner runs out on this tu*rd, I'm going to take it out to the park for a session of "Office Space"...
This isn't computer insurance, people

Pros: Works with all my other anti-virus and spyware detectors - Malwarebytes, SuperAntiSpyware, Spybot, Avira Antivirus. Fairly good detection. Stays in the background and doesn't slow down my computer, unlike Norton or Mcaffee which is no different from bloatware. You install those things and you'll be mopping up remnants of that program from your hard drive for years.
Cons: It doesn't detect everything out there. No program does. You need to use a combination of programs, each of which will catch different things. I've had files that I KNOW have viruses and these programs have skipped right past it, even when I set that folder to be scanned.
Overall Review: I have to laugh when I hear reviewers complaining that customer service is terrible and "They Didn't Come to my HOUSE within an hour to format and reinstall windows and RESTORE EVERYTHING ON MY MACHINE TO PERFECTION!" What do you think this is? You paid $30, and after rebate, NOTHING and you expect Customer service to be superb? You're buying a program, not customer service. Or an IT specialist. Dude, AVG is giving most of these away - you think they can afford a massive customer service call center with millions of tech support staff? You people have unrealistic expectations. Welcome to the real world.
