Load times are nuts!

SAMSUNG 980 PRO SSD 1TB, PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280, Speeds Up-to 7,000MB/s Best for High End Computing, Gaming, and Heavy Duty Workstations (MZV8P1T0B/AM)
SAMSUNG 980 PRO SSD 1TB, PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280, Speeds Up-to 7,000MB/s Best for High End Computing, Gaming, and Heavy Duty Workstations (MZV8P1T0B/AM)

Pros: Jumping from area to area in game are instant now. No waiting. I mean unless you count a quarter of a second. Large load times on other games I have are cut in half at least. When you see the load boarder in game and you jump through it, it insta loads and your back playing. Works well with my 3950x/x570 setup no issues. Just popped it in and used clonezilla to copy my data. no issues.

Cons: not even the price is a con.

Overall Review: Don't worry about pulling the trigger on this one. A 1TB 980 pro is worth your hard earned cash, if you want faster load times in game. It does not disappoint. It's just more of a fact rather than an exaggeration. Well until PCIE 4.0 Optane comes out. Current Optane 4K random reads still beats this product, but at 5 times the price or more. So for the price of the 980 pro it's a solid choice for gaming.

Most Critical Review

No Support, issues out of the box.

ASUS ROG Swift PG27VQ 27" WQHD 2560 x 1440 1ms 165Hz HDMI, DisplayPort G-SYNC Aura Sync Curved Gaming Monitor with Eye Care
ASUS ROG Swift PG27VQ 27" WQHD 2560 x 1440 1ms 165Hz HDMI, DisplayPort G-SYNC Aura Sync Curved Gaming Monitor with Eye Care

Pros: Looks cool, metal base stand. **update** When I got this monitor to work for a few minutes at 165hz in PUBG it did it well until it started blinking in and out. With all the other problems it does one thing well. "Game play" it seems. Beyond all the garbage I posted in the updated "Other" section. This monitor is basically a garbage car on the drag strip that's pulling 7's on the quarter mile with 2200HP. In first person shooters. If you're buying a monitor specifically to up your responce time and improve your game... and you get one out of the box that works. That's what this monitor is for.... and only for that. That is the one and only way you can justify spending the $800 USD on this. If you win the monitor lotto and get one that works.

Cons: The one I got wouldn't go above 60hz, tried on two different systems with two different GTX1080's. If you select any other frequency like 144hz, 165hz it will switch then just blink off then on. If you set the monitor as you default and reboot it'll never turn on. You have to leave it off or turn on your old monitor first. Windows keeps trying to use native resolution at max refresh rate, so you get no signal. Called support at ASUS. They have not one person that supports Monitors directly. There is no way to call support and get one person that will help you directly with your new 800$ monitor, that actually supports monitors. None. You only get a level one guy in India asking if it's plugged in. Not a joke. I was advised to contact NewEgg and just get a replacement. I pressed harder to get support for the monitor, and met a lot or resistance. Eventual got no where. They said someone would call back in 24 hours. Basically, I got the "this support call is taking too long and it's affecting my numbers so just tell the customer anything to get him off the line." Sorry but when you spend 800+ on a monitor but can't use it for playing a game. Get no support. That's straight garbage. Oh and this is one of those monitors that has speckles all in the screen. I didn't know that or I wouldn't have bought it. Like crystal effect. I use to see this on cheap HP laptop screens that were high resolution. So if you don't like that effect.... yeah.

Overall Review: ***Update*** Support never did call back. Nothing. Light bleed is so bad at the top of this monitor... Forget about watching a movie with dark scenes, or video games that are based on map at night. It's not something small that you will forget about. It's belligerent and right in your face the whole time. Again it's not like having one pixel out in the middle of your screen. It's like having fifty pixels stuck green you can't fix. I don't care what the youtube reviews say... Getting the colors right is a nightmare. However. I will get a replacement that works and update later. On actual game play at 165hz

Overall Review: Works great in my Linux laptop!

XBMC Kori on HP Microserver N40L Running Server 2012 R2

2048MB Dell Precision 380 670 690 Workstation Full Height HD Video Graphics Card
2048MB Dell Precision 380 670 690 Workstation Full Height HD Video Graphics Card

Pros: I bought this card originally to test GPU support for Remote Desktop on Hyper-V and RemoteRX for USB because of it's DirectX 11 Support. After that was done I started using it for XBMC media center PC. Because it supports up to 240HZ and has not problem set to 1080p 120hz. Plays back back 1080p stutter free. 5.1 audio out of the HDMI with out issue. It's been flawless. No issues and runs cool even under load. Also Dolphin the emulator for Wii works great on it. Mario Kart at 1080p is nice!

Cons: I don't have any cons for this. I've had this product for more than a year after buying it on New Egg. No problems with it. Wish it had Display Port instead of DVI.
