One nagging problem

ASUS GeForce FX 5200 128MB DDR AGP 8X Video Card V9520-X/TD/128
ASUS GeForce FX 5200 128MB DDR AGP 8X Video Card V9520-X/TD/128

Pros: Cheap, fast enough to play America's Army in high settings. RCA performs well when playing movies on your TV.

Cons: D-SUB connector's spacers both have come loose, and I lost one of them.

Overall Review: I still like this card. It is running strong even though I only have one spacer holding my D-SUB connector to the board. Who designed that, anyway? It screws in, but if you screw your monitor on there tight, then take it off, the spacer sometimes comes with it. Otherwise, no complaints.

Can't recommend

Team Group L3 EVO 2.5" 120GB SATA III TLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) T253LE120GTC101
Team Group L3 EVO 2.5" 120GB SATA III TLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) T253LE120GTC101

Pros: Faster speeds

Cons: If drive dies, the pennies you save over buying a more recognized name with US support will cost you.

Overall Review: I bought a 120GB SSD in May. Installed and it ran great, I noticed the difference in speed. It is September now, and the drive seems to be failing. It sometimes won't boot, and when it does, some files and programs are not running. I booted into Windows and did a system restore (Windows 10) and reinstalled all programs. It worked for about a week before it gave another boot error. I am currently going through the RMA process (I have submitted it). It looks like there are no US offices for this company. I may need to send it to Asia to get fixed, and for the price I paid, buying another from a known US brand is probably what I will do if I have to pay to send it. I will update with the results.

Two times better for half the price

XFX Radeon HD 4350 512MB GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Low Profile Ready Video Card HD-435X-YAH2
XFX Radeon HD 4350 512MB GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Low Profile Ready Video Card HD-435X-YAH2

Pros: Great price for performance. This is half the price of the NVidia 8500GT I bought a while back, but has better performance. Low profile will fit nicely in future Home Media project. Has plenty of firepower to run Trackmania and America's Army for me, Zoo Tycoon, Rollercoster Tycoon, Sims 2, Sim City 4, etc. for the wife.

Cons: For some reason my Aero rating fell from 4.5 to 3.7 with this card, but the 3D rating went up.

Overall Review: My BFG 8500GT fan started making "the noise" so I got this to replace it. It hasn't gotten hot, and works well with Trackmania. I would recommend it for the budget minded that don't need much from a graphics card.

Works in my Dell Inspiron D600

Crucial 1GB 200-Pin DDR SO-DIMM DDR 333 (PC 2700) Laptop Memory Model CT12864X335

Pros: It worked. Can now run the Windows 7 Beta on my laptop.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: Like the new Egg Saver shipping, but it does take a couple days longer. Don't use it if you are used to getting your order 2 days later via UPS.

Great basic upgrade for Vista

BFG Tech GeForce 8500 GT 256MB GDDR2 PCI Express x16 Video Card BFGE85256GTE
BFG Tech GeForce 8500 GT 256MB GDDR2 PCI Express x16 Video Card BFGE85256GTE

Pros: Got this because I just upgraded to Vista, and my old GeForce 6200TC only got a 2.6 score on the Vista test, and doesn't run DX10. With the upgrade I now get a 4.9. Got the half price rebate (which I hope comes quick, although I know it won't), which made me choose this over an 8400. Quick shipping as usual. Oh, my friend is happy, too. He got an RMA'd card from NewEgg for his new build, and while he waits he's using my old one.

Cons: A bit big, but my box handles it. Not good for tight spaces.

Overall Review: Get it while the sale lasts, because this is a great buy.
