Responce to "Not Cool"

Pros: Shortly after writing that scathing review I remembered that there was a bit of software that was installed with the IOGEAR Printer Auto Sharing Switch. I right clicked on it and clicked on just about the only option available, "switch" and it started printing my documents. My heartfelt apologies IOGEAR. And yes I also saw the 3 year warrantee as well. My previous opinion of this product was based on ignorance and impatience. Please buy this Printer sharing devise from IOGEAR, it's a good one.
Cons: none
PICTURE IS FALSE!!

Pros: They are red.
Cons: I ordered 50 of these cables to wire up our rooms in a small hotel. They do not include the cable boots that are pictured. I purchased these cable because they were the cheapest, but they are still significantly higher in price in comparison to making my own cables. The boots protect the plastic tab that keeps the cable locked in place and without them I'm sure these won't last long. CHANGE YOUR PICTURE!
CyberPower Powers!

Pros: Our business has a mission critical operating software and if there is an extended power outage we need to print out about 12 - 20 pages of information from the system to operate through the outage. I had a small 450 watt APC battery supporting a HP LaserJet 4240n and a Dell Optiplex mini tower for such an outage. Our printer when printing ramps up to a 600 -700 watt loads so in a recent power outage we didn't even get one page. Generally, battery backup solution companies don't recommend using a battery to support a Laser Printer, but I thought I would give this a shot. I did a power outage simulation after setting it up and I had an estimated 5 min remaining on the battery even after printing 20 pages. I used that time to play solitaire, because why waste it? Hope this helps your buying decision. Please note, I only have the printer connected to the CyberPower UPS, I kept the existing APC for the Optiplex and its monitor.
Cons: A con against all battery backups is that when they are on battery they beep quite loudly. Totally unessessary feature in my opinion. Generally I can tell when the lights go out!
Overall Review: Sorry I have not had this for long and can not report on the long term quality or battery life cycle.
Not Cool

Pros: It worked great from date I recieved it in the mail 1/30/11 until yesterday 3/16/11. If you need to share a printer between 2 computers for about a month and a half this is the product for you!
Cons: Apparently it's just a temporary unit? Only works for about a month and a half. No manufature warantee and NewEgg only covers it for 30 days. It's the tech equivalant to a gallon of milk. You buy it and just have to make sure you use it before it expires.
Overall Review: Maybe start selling them in a five pack so I'll be covered for at least 6 months? Great Job IOGear!
