Great, roomy case

NZXT Phantom 530 White ATX Full Tower Computer Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 Fan Controller
NZXT Phantom 530 White ATX Full Tower Computer Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 Fan Controller

Pros: -Cable management, and the holes throughout the case to do this is the best I've seen yet. Lots of places for the cables to go in and out, providing lots of great airflow -Comes with every type of case screw a builder might ever need -The washable filters are great -Of the windows cases I've worked with, one of the classiest

Cons: -Worst hard drive sleds I've ever worked with. Drives did not want to accept the screws, had to somewhat force the hard drives back into place - this loses it a star for me

Overall Review: I've built about 7 computers from scratch and this was the first time i was moving a computer from an older case that didn't have enough space for all the hard drives I wanted to house. This case was a delight to work with - lots of room and a very practical layout for the parts. You'll note they tout a mount for a 2.5" SSD behind the motherboard. This is great if it means you can eliminate drive cages and, therefore, get better airflow in the case. However, be mindful of the fact that SATA cables from the PSU are often spaced close together means that you might not be able to take advantage of that spot unless you buy some SATA power extension cables or literally only have the one SSD in your case. It's a bummer that it only comes with 2 installed fans and relies on the builder to purchase more fans, however, I was moving from an old case that instead of a fan, had a cone that went over the CPU fan to expel that air outside and was loud like an airplane taking off in my room when I'd fire up a few VMs. Ever since moving to this new NZXT case, it's so quiet in my office again. I love it. Finally, this isn't a negative for me because I keep my computers in the office (instead of my bedroom), but it has a very bright front white light and bright white back light. The back light is so bright that yesterday when I was trying to see if my audio 3.5mm cable was in the right spot, I was able to use that light instead of a flashlight.

Appears to have a Self-Destruct Mode?

CORSAIR TX Series CMPSU-650TX 650 W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply & New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Lots of cables - able to connect lots of components inside - 4 HDDs and 2 Optical Drives (all SATA)

Cons: Mine died after 3 months. I looked on the Newegg reviews from 1 egg to 3 eggs. And it seems that if it isn't DOA and doesn't last forever, it dies after 3 months. If you look you'll see that it's the most common death date. Not sure what's up - perhaps there was just a bad batch that went out with bad parts? After all, 80% of the ratings are 5/5 eggs.

Overall Review: The SATA cables are a little annoying to connect - they're upside-down and require a weird twisting of the cables. Another reviewer seemed to say it's because my case mounts the PSU on the bottom. It's not the end of the world, but it's worth knowing.

Great board - only two bummers

ASUS TUF GAMING B550-PLUS AMD AM4 (3rd Gen Ryzen) ATX Gaming Motherboard (PCIe 4.0, 2.5Gb LAN, HDMI 2.1, BIOS FlashBack, USB 3.2 Gen 2, Addressable Gen 2 RGB Header and AURA Sync)
ASUS TUF GAMING B550-PLUS AMD AM4 (3rd Gen Ryzen) ATX Gaming Motherboard (PCIe 4.0, 2.5Gb LAN, HDMI 2.1, BIOS FlashBack, USB 3.2 Gen 2, Addressable Gen 2 RGB Header and AURA Sync)

Pros: - Lots of ports - Rational Layout - Looks great - Has one of the new reversible USB 3 ports

Cons: - If you use ANY of the 1x slots, it makes your graphics card go slower - I you put in a second nvme drive, you lose TWO sata ports

Overall Review: I really enjoyed setting up this board. The layout is great and makes sense. The only bummers were listed above - they don't have lots of lanes for the add-on cards or the nvme drive. Not sure if that's a Ryzen issue or a limitation of boards at this price point.

Drives 4 displays NICELY

ASUS ROG Strix Radeon RX 580 O8G Gaming OC Edition GDDR5 DP HDMI DVI VR Ready AMD Graphics Card with RGB Lighting (ROG-STRIX-RX580-O8G-GAMING)
ASUS ROG Strix Radeon RX 580 O8G Gaming OC Edition GDDR5 DP HDMI DVI VR Ready AMD Graphics Card with RGB Lighting (ROG-STRIX-RX580-O8G-GAMING)

Overall Review: Using with Fedora Linux and driving 4 displays ( 3 x 1080 and 1 x 1440). Works awesomely. No complaints whatsoever. Didn't know if this is necessarily a con, but this card is LOOOOOOOOOONG. For all my computers I always build in ginormous cases and this one is just an inch or less from the drive cages. Measure your case before ordering.

It works

G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Desktop Memory Model F4-3200C16D-16GVGB

Overall Review: I feel like RAM either gets 1 Egg or 5 eggs, right? Either it properly stores your data while processing or it doesn't.

Works Great for Gaming at 1440 and Streaming/Recording

AMD Ryzen 5 3rd Gen - RYZEN 5 3600 Matisse (Zen 2) 6-Core 3.6 GHz (4.2 GHz Max Boost) Socket AM4 65W 100-100000031BOX Desktop Processor

Cons: -Getting that fan on, I was sure I was going to break the board. Do those springs need to be so tight?

Overall Review: Bought as part of an upgrade of a computer I built in 2009. LOVING how much nicer it is during gaming, especially if I'm also using OBS to stream or record.

Couldn't ask for anything more

Pretty easy. Ordered the watch via Newegg and it arrived. It was properly packaged and everything was as I expected it to be. I'd definitely buy from them again if the price was right.
