Pros: It gets the job done.
Cons: The cable's really thick. I guess that makes it pretty durable but it doesn't bend too well. Not the best for my laptop using a dual monitor. It would be pretty good for a PC though
Nice high end laptop
Pros: Great hardware. Keyboard is extremely solid. Touchpad is a pleasure to use. The Firepro m5800 graphics card is relatively powerful; it will be able to play most modern games; Team Fortress 2 averages around 70 FPS at high settings and never drops below 40 FPS. Temperatures stay very comfortable. Little touches like a night light and ambient light sensor come in handy. The battery lasts 3-5 hours a charge during light web browsing. The screen is also fantastic. Great brightness and resolution.
Cons: HP software is sort of a pain to use. Some software features available in previous Elitebooks have been inexplicably removed (such as the ability to reprogram some keyboard buttons). This is especially annoying since they have a button assigned to a useless calculator button. Initially the DVD player was also a little rattly and is a little cheap, but after tightening the screws this problem has been alleviated somewhat. The speakers are also not the best in the world, but they're not terrible either. The headphone jack works perfectly if you want better sound quality.
Overall Review: Though the HP software could use some work, the hardware is excellent. The laptop feels extremely solid. Though other laptops are cheaper for the same specs, with the Elitebook you will be buying a superior quality touchpad, keyboard, and exterior parts.
