Pros: Cools very well, drop'd my idle and working temps down about 12 degrees C. Installed it on my AMD 64 X2 6400 dropped temps from 62 max to 49. Installation was a breeze.
Cons: Fits really really tight against my cpu, almost to tight.
Overall Review: Overall easy install, took maybe 10 minutes. The blue lights match the rest of my case fans.
Pros: I am starting to struggle finding Pro's for this motherboard. It works some of the time so I guess that is a pro.
Cons: Ok, I've already done a pretty long review on the Streaming Engine and my view hasn't changed yet. Now for more Issues! I got a GTX 980 Gigabyte Windforce Edition and found out I cannot put it in the top slot. The ram slots on the motherboard are so close to the first pcie slot that the backplate on the 980 hits them and will not even let you start to put the card into the socket. So a stock card without a backplate will work fine but if you want to add a cool looking backplate to your card or want to SLi backplated cards well your up a creek. I ended up placing the card in the 4th pcie slot and the card barely locks down. I have noticed this on several video cards. Some of the cards I tested would not lock down because the over sized heat shield on the motherboard is just to thick. Multiple times I have booted up my machine to get an error saying your overclock couldn't load. This has forced me to reflash my bios a couple of times. I have even left the computer running overnight to wake up to a screen saying the computer couldn't boot due to the over clock. Oddly enough when it boots with the OC I have great temps and stability seems perfectly fine while I'm using it. Just over the past couple of days I have booted up to only have the mobo show only 8 gigs of ram. When I look at the motherboard explorer it shows all 4 dimms. After I turned xmp back on the other 8 gigs magically started working, not sure about this issue.
Overall Review: I am revising my previous 4 egg down to 2 eggs. For anyone looking for an X99 board I would recommend looking elsewhere until MSI can get this board caught up.
Pros: I tested the drive on my desktop and my laptop. Desktop Read and Write were about 165MB/s Laptop Read 142MB/s and Write 125MB/s I was fairly happy with those numbers over usb 3.0
Cons: Drive failed after 1 week of use. I lost a couple hours worth of video footage due to this loss. Drive had 28 GB of data on it when it failed.
Overall Review: I read plenty of reviews about this thing but had got a great deal on it so I decided to give it a try. I would not recommend anyone else bother with this product due to its track record. You would think Toshiba would get these issues worked out.
H100 doesn't fit
Pros: Good cable management.
Cons: I bought this case because they touted it to be ready to accept a 240mm radiator. Well I got my H100 Corsair in and it does not mount in this case. The H100's mounting holes are ment to mount the fans side by side touching, evidently Xigmatek designed the mounting brackets to be for 120mm fans that are not touching. Yes you can mount 2 120mm or 2 140mm fans in the top of this case but the holes will only line up for 1 120mm on the H100 the rest of the holes are covered/off center to the mesh thus only allowing you to mount it in 4 screw holes. I first tried to install the H100 as it is meant to be with 2 push fans but alas the fans plus the radiator are to thick and my motherboards heat sink's are in the way. I then decided well I'll just mount it on the side mesh window. Well again the side mounts are not designed to have the 120mm fans touching so no go there as well. The only way of mounting it was to stick it up through the gap in the top of the case then fix the fans
Overall Review: radiator. I was like yea I can live with this, then I went to put the mesh top of the case back on and the H100 is a few mm to thick in this configuration to work. Bottom line if you want this case to go with your H100 cooler because of its touted 240mm radiator accessibility then it simply is not going to make you happy. This plus the fact it was broke in a few places make this case 3 eggs now. I will be retiring this case to my secondary and be buying a new case soon.
Great Cooler for 4890
Pros: Cools great, my GPU temps went from 57c idle and 78c load to 35c idle and 55c load. I now plan on buying one of these to cool my other card.
Cons: Instructions are not that great. Has extra pieces for different cards and some of the extra items do not tell you what cards they fit.
Overall Review: I used some of the ram heat sinks to cool my VRM, but they did not stick very well. I actually sat my case upside down to do a burn in so they wouldn't fall off. Now they seem to be securely attached but I will continue to watch them. I have enough room to still crossfire with this card in the top slot but its a fairly tight fit. If your case has enough ventilation it should be fine for crossfire permitting the spacing on your motherboard. 1100t AMD X6 4890 Radeon Asus M4A89TD PRO/USB3 8g Kingston HyperX 1600 and arriving monday a Corsair H100 cooler
