Just What I Needed for my Vehicle Camera

Sandisk 128GB Ultra Fit USB 3.1 Flash Drive, Speed Up to 130MB/s (SDCZ430-128G-G46)
Sandisk 128GB Ultra Fit USB 3.1 Flash Drive, Speed Up to 130MB/s (SDCZ430-128G-G46)

Pros: Works great. My other flash drive couldn't keep up with the vehicle camera and was always shutting down. But I've used this over a month and no issues at all.

Cons: None so far

Overall Review: I would highly recommend if speed is needed.

Most Critical Review

Extremely Slow Flash Drive

CORSAIR 16GB Flash Survivor Ultra Rugged USB 2.0 Drive Model CMFUSBSRVR-16GB
CORSAIR 16GB Flash Survivor Ultra Rugged USB 2.0 Drive Model CMFUSBSRVR-16GB

Pros: The unit looks like it will take punishment and still work and that's good. I plan to use it for longer term storage and not moving files on and off it frequently. Getting a $10 rebate back.

Cons: The unit is extremely slow. It has taken me two hours to move 15 GB worth of files onto the drive. The other USB drives that I bought (16 GB) took minutes not hours.

SAMSUNG 870 QVO Series 2.5" 8TB SATA III Samsung 4-bit QLC V-NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-77Q8T0B/AM

Pros: Samsung SSD so that is always a good product. And it was a pretty good price. 3C_Expert got it to me very fast with UPS. I'm transferring data as I write this

Cons: None so far

Overall Review: Again, it a Samsung SSD so a quality product.

It Fried the First HD I Tried

StarTech.com USB3SSATAIDE USB to SATA IDE Adapter - 2.5in / 3.5in - Hard Drive USB Adapter - Hard Drive Transfer Cable - USB Universal Drive Adapter
StarTech.com USB3SSATAIDE USB to SATA IDE Adapter - 2.5in / 3.5in - Hard Drive USB Adapter - Hard Drive Transfer Cable - USB Universal Drive Adapter

Pros: It came quickly from Newegg

Cons: Purchased the Star Tech USB3SSATAIDE USB 3.0 to SATA or IDE Hard Drive Adapter Converter and the first time I used it after hooking up the power supply it started smoking one of the circuits. I immediately pulled the power. Since it ruined one HD, I don't wish to try another.

Very good Camera

D-Link DCS-5020L Pan & Tilt Wi-Fi Camera
D-Link DCS-5020L Pan & Tilt Wi-Fi Camera

Pros: I like the camera. I bought two of it and the two of the 5222. I like the 5020 for ease of installation, sharpness of the picture and ability to use the features from my iPhone. the pan and tilt allows me to purchase less cameras then I currently have (ABS bought in 2009 - they are starting to die out now). Yes I would recommend the camera.

Cons: When I have to reset my wifi, I loose the cameras and have to plug one back into the router via cat 5/6, but then they all come back on.

Overall Review: I've played with the push notification based on sound and movement and finally just left one on - too many notifications. I haven't tried local recordings yet but that's next.

Decent Camera

D-Link DCS-5222L HD Pan & Tilt Wi-Fi Camera
D-Link DCS-5222L HD Pan & Tilt Wi-Fi Camera

Pros: Decent Camera (bought 2 just a little over one month ago) - but my current cameras (starting to die out now) were ABS and they were purchased in 2009. I like the ability to pan and tilt from my iPhone, listen in to noise level and respond back thru the camera.

Cons: The focus leaves a lot to be desired. I couldn't find a way to focus it except by manually turning the focus ring on the camera. If there is a way please let me know. So having the scene that I want to capture, means either having someone help me at the big screen or viewing on my iPhone.

Overall Review: The 720 is not something that I see much value in so, future purchases will probably be the cheaper model (also bought 2 a month ago), the 5020L which is a good basic camera. One other issue is wifi connectivity. If your wifi goes down or you need to reset it it, you need to connect one camera to via cat 5/6 and then all cameras are all connected. I'd keep one near your router.
