Great RAM

GeIL 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model GX24GB6400UDC
GeIL 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model GX24GB6400UDC

Pros: Works with Abit IP335 Pro out of the box at 1.8v at 5-5-5-15 as noted on the package. After booting into BIOS and changing DRAM voltage to 2.2 and timings to 4-4-4-12, this RAM is stable and passed memtest for 12 hours. Great performance for the price.

Cons: Vista 32-bit only recognizes ~3Gb of RAM :( which is not a Geil problem.

Overall Review: I bought the Patriot 4-4-4-12 memory first and it wouldn't run at the advertised timings so I was worried about the Geil memory being the same. To my delight, it is stable at the lower timings and runs like a champ. This is my 2nd or 3rd set of Geil RAM and I've never been disappointed.

DRIVE STILL HAS PROBLEMS!

Corsair Force Series 3 2.5" 120GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CSSD-F120GB3-BK
Corsair Force Series 3 2.5" 120GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CSSD-F120GB3-BK

Pros: Fast when it works

Cons: Despite Corsair's assurances (and OCZs and every other manufacturer using SandForce 2281 controllers), these drives still do not work for many people. If you're feeling lucky, go ahead and pull the trigger. If you're not lucky this, my friend, is what's in store for you: A drive that is very fast when it works but will drop out every few hours/days causing multiple BSODs and possible data loss. The BIOS won't see your drive and you'll have to do a hard reset to get it to show up again. So if you like living on the hairy edge of data loss, go ahead and get this drive. If you'd rather not worry about your hard drive, then STAY AWAY!

Overall Review: Corsair would like to be helpful, but there is nothing they can do at the moment to help people who have problems with this drive. RMAing for a different drive hasn't helped anyone and there is no firmware update on the horizon. I HIGHLY SUGGEST THAT YOU DO NOT BUY THIS DRIVE AT THIS TIME (7/22/11).

DO NOT BUY!!!

Aluratek AUCC02F Dual USB 2.1A Car Charger for iPad / Tablet / Smartphone
Aluratek AUCC02F Dual USB 2.1A Car Charger for iPad / Tablet / Smartphone

Pros: none

Cons: Out of the three different 12V outlets I have in 2 different cars, this adapter only fits in one of them. It is very poorly designed and it's likely you'll have problems even inserting it into the outlet. In the outlet that did work, it did not provide enough current (2.1 A) to charge a tablet, which was why I bought it. DO NOT BUY!!!

Overall Review: If you want a dual charger for phones or something else that doesn't require a lot of current, you can find deals for $1. There is no reason to buy this adapter as it doesn't do what it promises to.

DO NOT BUY - WAIT FOR FIRMWARE UPDATE

Corsair Force Series 3 2.5" 120GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CSSD-F120GB3-BK
Corsair Force Series 3 2.5" 120GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CSSD-F120GB3-BK

Pros: Very fast when it works. Comes with 3.5" adapter.

Cons: After a seemingly random amount of up-time, the drive is suddenly no longer recognized by the OS (confirmed for Windows and Linus presently) giving an error (BSOD in windows) if it is the OS disk or just disappearing if it is only used for data. Resetting the computer does not solve the problem, the disk is not detected in BIOS. The only thing that works to get the drive detected again is shutting down the machine, waiting a few seconds, and powering back up, whereupon the disk is detected and boots properly. But it will lose it's connection again. Corsair is aware of the problems (currently the top thread in its support forum under SSDs) and is working with SandForce on a fix. DO NOT BUY THIS DRIVE UNTIL THIS PROBLEM IS FIXED AS IT IS HAPPENING TO MANY, MANY PEOPLE.

Overall Review: Really bummed about this. Got a great deal on the drive here with the $30 off promotion from a week ago, now I'm wishing I had gone with Intel as there is no end in sight to this bug.

love it

Steelseries Qck Gaming Mouse Pad (Black)
Steelseries Qck Gaming Mouse Pad (Black)

Pros: Great mouse pad. I haven't used a mouse pad in years, but I bought a gaming mouse and a new desk so figured I should try one out. I love it so far.

Cons: none

Overall Review: It's big, which I like. But make sure you realize that it is much bigger than the "standard" mouse pad.

meh

OCZ Agility 2 2.5" 40GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) OCZSSD2-2AGT40G
OCZ Agility 2 2.5" 40GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) OCZSSD2-2AGT40G

Pros: Much faster than a HDD according to benchmarking software.

Cons: I'm a little disappointed honestly. Boot times are not appreciably faster, and load times for programs aren't much quicker (if at all) either. So I'm not really seeing the benefits of an SSD that I've heard so much about.
