great product

OCZ GameXStream OCZ600GXSSLI 600 W ATX12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply
OCZ GameXStream OCZ600GXSSLI 600 W ATX12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: The connectors are neatly orgainzed and sheathed so there's not loose wires hanging all over the place adn the power output is more than adequate. Nice black finish, and the LED light isn't so bright as to be annoying.

Cons: None

Overall Review: This psu doesn't seem to be any louder than any other psu I've had before. Though unlike other people, a noisy psu does not bother me. Thank goodness OCZ was smart enought NOT to include modular cables with this. And for anyone currently in the market for a psu I have this to say: STAY AWAY from modular cables. They may the new "fad" but truth be told modular cables have more resistance and thus provide less electrical output. The pins are also prone to greater wear which means 6 month or a year down the road you won't be getting the same clean connection you used to get, which will subsequently result is less power output. Modular cables are a marketing gimick and nothing more. I think as time goes on their design flaws while come to light.

ok in XP, horrible in WIndows 7

ENCORE ENLWI-N Wireless Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g, IEEE 802.11n Draft 2.0 PCI 2.3 Up to 300Mbps Wireless Data Rates
ENCORE ENLWI-N Wireless Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g, IEEE 802.11n Draft 2.0 PCI 2.3 Up to 300Mbps Wireless Data Rates

Pros: This card works fine in Windows XP. However, don't expect blazing fast connection speeds. I'd say I'm able to tap into about half the maximum bandwidth of my internet connection.

Cons: I'm not sure how important long antennas are, but these ones seem to be awfully short and the connection is all over the map. It will go from 54 mbps one minute to only 1 mbps the next. The Windows 7 64-Bit drivers are horrible. They work intermittently at best and my download speeds dropped significantly with the newest drivers. How bad? Well I have a 6 meg connection and I can't even get connection speeds greater than 100 kbps. Also, I get constant system lags and stalls when I'm connected to my wireless network with this card. It stalls every 3-4 seconds. Imagine dragging your cursor across your desktop screen and every 3-4 seconds it freezes for a second, and then unfreezes and then freezes again, and unfreezes. This happens constantly! It's not the router because I've connected two different ones and it exhibits the same problem

Overall Review: I've had this card for about 3 months now and I was happy with it up until a few weeks ago when I upgraded to Windows 7. I'm sure they'll fix this issue with time, but for now it's an absolute headache.

functional, but could do better for the money

EVGA 500 B1 100-B1-0500-KR 80+ BRONZE 500W Includes FREE Power On Self Tester Power Supply

Pros: It works, it's quiet and it looks nice.

Cons: Several things about the psu I that could be improved upon. 1. All the cables are short. You might be ok in a midtower case, but don’t expect to get fancy with cable management solutions, as you won’t have the length to weave these cables behind whatever cable management slots your computer case has. 2. While there are 2, 6+2 connectors, they are both on the same strand of cable. You'd think they'd be separated so as to provide more length, and more options for connectivity, but that’s not the case. Obviously you're not going to run multiple, high end graphics cards with this power supply, but they still should have provided separate 6+2 pin cables. For $44 you get what you pay for, and this power supply will suffice, but I've purchased plenty of psu's in my time, and for just slightly more money, you can do a lot better than this power supply for cable length and diversity of connectors alone. .

Overall Review: I'm probably nit picking a bit, but I feel obligated to do so in order to provide common sense critique to newegg shoppers who may be considering a good quality, inexpensive power supply. I'm using this psu for an old, P35 system with an E6850 cpu that I had laying around my house that I'm giving to a coworker, so it works fine for my needs considering I didn't want to spend a lot of money.

works great

XFX Double D FX-795A-TDKC Radeon HD 7950 Black Edition 3GB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support Video Card - Retail

Pros: Works great for all the games I play: Skyrim, Supreme Commander and Crysis 3. I used the latest beta drivers from AMD. No problems. Doesn't run hot, provided you've got it in a full tower case with lots of airflow (as I do, HAF 932).

Cons: The 8 pin connector was a bit annoying. My 750w Etasis psu only had 1, 8 pin connector and it was currently in use. I had to buy a 6 to 8 pin converter cable, but it was an easy enough problem to solve.

Overall Review: I used to read a lot of complaints about 79xx cards not being fully compatible with Skyrim, but rest assured, those problems have been put to rest. Absolutely no stuttering or hiccups, even at the highest settings. This card shreds the game as far as I'm concerned. I don't find that this card runs hot either. If you have a full tower case (as you should if you put together a serious rig) you'll probably have more than enough airflow to offset whatever shortcomings the stock gpu fan presents. Upgraded from an Asus 4850. I resisted upgrading my GPU for the longest time because I'm not much of a gamer and my 4850 worked just fine for Skyrim and Supreme Commander (medium settings no AA on Skyrim). Obviously, this card is a complete juggernaut in comparison and I'm now able to run every game and the highest settings possible. Supreme Commander runs flawlessly, even when there are hundreds of units interacting simultaneously - something my 4850 could barely handle. For the $209 I got this card for, it was definitely worth it.

complete garbage

AMD GIFT- RADEON GOLD REWARD for THREE FREE
AMD GIFT- RADEON GOLD REWARD for THREE FREE

Pros: Absolutely nothing.

Cons: This is complete garbage. From what I can tell, the download link on the website hasn't worked for at least a week. I've been trying it for the past 6-7 days on 3 different computers using 3 different browsers. Clicking on the sign in page or the "click here to redeem your unique coupon code" banner brings you to a broken page that doesn't load. Disabling various plugins and deleting cache and cookies doesn't work.

Overall Review: Tech support took 4 days to respond to my email, and their only suggestions were to clear the cache and use different browsers.

good product

Transcend JetFlash 760 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive TS32GJF760
Transcend JetFlash 760 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive TS32GJF760

Pros: No external cap - I hate fash drives with those stupid external caps. They always get lost. Transcend has some of the best and fastest flash drives on the market and they get great reviews. Do an internet search for flash drive reviews and you'll what I'm talking about.

Cons: The push button to retract or extend the usb head needs to be designed a bit better. It locks once extended, but it feels cheap and and I have my doubts as to whether or not it will withstand the test of time. When I retract the drive I always feel like the button won't lock. There needs to be a larger ring hole on the back of the drive so you can attach something like a key ring to it. I managed to get a very small key ring around mine, but it was a very tight fit.
