Best Gaming Monitor On The Market Currently

Acer Predator X35 bmiphzx 35" 3440 x 1440 WQHD 200Hz HDMI DisplayPort USB Hub HDR1000 NVIDIA G-SYNC Quantum Dot WideScreen Curved Gaming Monitor
Acer Predator X35 bmiphzx 35" 3440 x 1440 WQHD 200Hz HDMI DisplayPort USB Hub HDR1000 NVIDIA G-SYNC Quantum Dot WideScreen Curved Gaming Monitor

Pros: -Exceptional build quality with a sturdy but stylish frame. -Solid list of features and tuning capability. -The BEST HDR I've seen this generation. -Exceptional picture quality over the 35 inch real-estate. -All this with a 180hz stock refresh able to meet up to 200hz. -Nice lighting effects in the back of the monitor. -Solid curve ratio per inch of width that doesn't make it feel "overly done". -You get what you pay for with this monitor.

Cons: -Local backlighting effect can lead to a "halo" around white objects whenever the screen is dark or contrasted dark. Not a big issue or enough for me to dock an egg but something worth noting.

Overall Review: I upgraded from a beautiful ASUS ROG Swift 27 inch 144hz monitor - basically the benchmark monitor of the previous generation. This monitor blows that panel completely out the water. Powered by a 3090, I run all games on Ultra settings; the ones that support HDR make me question why I haven't bothered with it up until now. This monitor IS heavy and IS huge. It IS expensive but that's to be expected for something that will future proof your system despite it not being 4K. For WHQD gaming, this is THE BEST monitor you can possibly buy.

EVGA 04G-P4-2699-KR GeForce GTX 690 Hydro Copper Signature 4GB 512-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
EVGA 04G-P4-2699-KR GeForce GTX 690 Hydro Copper Signature 4GB 512-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

Pros: Let's see, where to begin. The first REAL powerful dual GPU board from nVidia that doesn't take a huge power hit over an original 2 separate GPU's. Low power consumption. Low heat....(even the air-based one doesn't fry up your computer). And unlike the guy under me - It doesn't NEED to be overclocked....(seriously). This card is one hell of a beast. With an AMD Bulldozer 8150 FX, 16GB of ram, and a random 480 I have sitting around for PhysX processing, this card DEMOLISHES any and EVERY game you throw at it on the HIGHEST setting with 8x AA, 16x AF @ 2560 res without a blink. This is by FAR one of the most monstrous cards to have dropped from nVidia and even more-so beefed up by EVGA. Ordered mine directly from EVGA; replaced 3 GTX 480's - So you can imagine its power. Happy camper. Dual-slotted? So what - So is the 680 Hydrocopper. Be smart, save up, get one of these and open yourself up for another for Quad SLI in the future.

Cons: It doesn't double as a hot date.

Overall Review: So seriously - Why would you NEED to overclock this? And if you did, it's not hard at all - Precision X from EVGA makes it VERY easy to overclock. Don't whine about OC issues on a card that doesn't need to be OC'd, just go get another for quad SLI...(snicker). As far as temperature, in LOAD, my card doesn't get past around 38C, and that's after 3 hours of playing Crysis 2 and Battlefield 3. To those of you with a tiny case - Watch it, this card is @*%( near huge. It was about 3 inches longer than my 480 with 1 inch in girth difference as well as it being dual-slot.

Transformer!!!???

Thermaltake SwordM VD5000BNA Black/ Silver Aluminum Extrusion ATX Full Tower Computer Case
Thermaltake SwordM VD5000BNA Black/ Silver Aluminum Extrusion ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Sleek design, no design flaws, great instructions, plenty of cooling and ventilation capabilities, PISTONS...IT HAS PISTONS...

Cons: Doesn't double as a microwave....oh and it threatened to transform and kill me if I died to many times in COD: MW2.

Overall Review: This case is by far the best flagship Thermaltake....no...scratch that...OVERALL case I've bought and used. It made building my new comp a more fun experience than usual. If you can afford the extra cash on the case, I HIGHLY recommend this one vice the other $400+ solutions out there. And once again - Newegg is $$.

Corsair P256 2.5" 256GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CMFSSD-256GBG2D

Pros: Quick loading times, no random crash errors on Windows, games run faster, no defrag, no degrading issues of the OS from long run times, fast...fast...oh wait....Yea..what's that? Fast!

Cons: Well...I gave it a whole 5 eggs but the only drawback is obvious - Price. However....if --->YOU<--- buy one of these, you JUST MAY bring down the price for everyone else. And trust that the price is well worth what it does for your computer. The only other Con I can think of is that it doesn't do your laundry. :(

Overall Review: This HDD....16 GB of RAM....2 GTX 295's in SLI mode...An AMD Phenom X4 II 965 Black Edition....a case with 12 fans......All thanks to NewEgg.

The Best Card...Hands down.

EVGA GeForce 8800 GTX 768MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Support Graphics Card 768-P2-N831-AR

Pros: Rises greater than anything ATI has...Awesome drivers as well as performance while supporting amazing quality......Runs everything without a hitch at the highest settings possible....(except for Crysis).

Cons: It costs more than $500....That's it.

Overall Review: I have 2 of these running in SLI mode with some watercooling and...Haha. Hahahaha. Whew.
