Great machine
Pros: We have had this at our office for over a year and never had any issues. Neither with speed nor hardware and software.
Cons: None
Stopped working after just over a year
Pros: None. It stopped working.
Cons: Not reliable
Overall Review: The whole idea of swapping your traditional hard drive with an SSD besides the speed is the reliability. Cleary ADATA does not subscribe to this notion, their SSD drive failed about a year into it. They are not ready to compete with Samsung in the quality department. Not recommended
Does not live up to reputation
Pros: Sleek modern looking
Cons: Quality of build is very bad. The screen came apart from its frame right from the beginning, however, since I bought it refurbished I could never get that repaired. The software has some major flaws: as you are typing the cursor will shift in mid sentence/word and will shift up to where the mouse cursor is and continue from there. So if you are not constantly monitoring the screen you end up with a bunch of garbled stuff that has to be redacted. I have always owned HP products and have never once had the bad quality of build and quirky software issues that I have encountered with ASUS. It also makes me question if their motherboards are built to the same low standards that the laptop was. Their reputation was what initially made me opt for this laptop. Its really a shame given that the design in awesome.
